A masterclass of enviornmental storytelling, along with seamless pinpoint accuracy focused gameplay, that's way easier to pick up, play, and get the hang of than it looks. It starts a little slow at the begining, but it ramps up really quick. None of the upgrades feel unimpactful and you always feel like you're making real progress with everything you do. A fair amount of backtracking, but hey, it's a metroidvania, and with all the expansions, (that are free by the way,) they add a few new ways to get around the kingdom to make your playthrough a little easier. Play it if you haven't, can't recommend it enough.
