I love the Saint's Row franchise and have hundreds of hours across the games on Xbox. But this monstrosity tainted the Saint's name irreparably, I think. The first hour of this game is so legitimately terrible I was actually blown away; It plays terrible, looks terrible, sounds terrible, and is JUST FLAT OUT TERRIBLE. If this turned out to be a unity asset flip, it would've made more sense.

Go buy Gat Out of Hell, even THAT is a better purchase than this mess.

When you ain't got a b**** in your ear tellin' you its nasty, Fallout 76 is pretty good.

EDIT: 200+ hours in now, still loving the game and having a blast. It certainly has it's downsides compared to previous installments, but it makes up for it by being a unique experience on it's own. It's not 3 or New Vegas, it's not 2 or Tactics, it's 76. And you know what? I like it that way.

I have hundreds of hours on the 360 version, and only recently got back into it on PC. Boy howdy, was this game a masterpiece then and now. It's janky as hell, but if you look past that or install some mods, the world and expansions for this game are second to none IMO.

New Vegas was phenomenal, and gets all the credit it deserves, but Fallout 3 is the GOAT. It is never too late to experience it.

There are pools. Lots of them. Sometimes they're shallow, sometimes they're deep. Sometimes, they aren't even pools. My life has lost it's meaning and there is chlorine in my eyes. It burns so, so good.

Did you watch the Expanse? Did you enjoy it? Well boy howdy, have I got a game for you.

You play as Camina Drummer and Chrisjen Avasarala (Archangel DLC), and both of their show actors (Cara Gee and Shohreh Aghdashloo, respectively) reprise their roles as voice actors, and it sounds goooood. Camina is a vulnerable, but proven badass, and Chrisjen just oozes charisma, even as she's threatening to cut someone's balls off.

And yes, you can insult people while playing as Avasarala. She's just as visceral as her show incarnation and it's very funny.

A lot of negative reviews are about the gaming being 'boring', and I get that and all; but this game felt exactly like the show. Slow when it needed to be, sometimes very slow, but when action kicked off it was tense and never felt out of place. People can die with the wrong decisions, characters will alter their opinion of you on how you handle stuff, and at no point did any of it feel like wasted time or filler.

Give it a shot. If you like TellTale's previous catalog of games, you'll feel right at home in this one. Just hope you brought some hull seals with you!

I played and completed the original Zeno Clash back in 2009 on the Xbox 360, and have periodically revisited the franchise here and there for nostalgia. That being said, it never occurred to me how much I wanted a new entry in the series, nor how much I missed the surreal fever-dream world of Zenozoik until picking this bad boy up.

Gameplay

If you're familiar with souls-like games, this one should come naturally for you. You primarily fight in hand-to-hand combat, making use of various combat stances that you learn through your travels, and melee weapons that do great damage but break pretty quick. Campfires take the place of bonfires, but act as more of a save rather than respawn enemies in your vicinity. Attacks are hard-hitting and immensely satisfying, and it does feel like a triumph when you beat larger, more formidable opponents.

There is also a night mode, which you can access by sleeping or upon death during daytime with Pseudo, where you'll fight stylized tree-like night enemies, and travel through pathways that are inaccessible to Pseudo directly. It is also the game's most souls-like feature, allowing you to find your body and revive. However, upon death at night, you will game over and reset to a previous save.

Zenozoik

Zenozoik, while the setting of Zeno Clash 1 & 2, has never looked better than now, nor has it been as beautifully depicted. Seriously, the world in this game is GORGEOUS. Not quite open world, but open ended through wide regions connected by linear pathways. While many areas feel as linear as they are, some areas are very open and reward exploration. Find collectibles, new combat stances, alternate pathways, upgrade and crafting components, new and cool armor/weapons, ect.

Story

While I haven't completed the game just yet, the story has been surprisingly compelling up to this point. You play as Pseudo, a veteran martial artist who, while on his travels across Zenozoik, comes across a small owl-like creature mourning the death of his grandfather. After protecting him, he decides to take the critter, now known as the Boy, with him to try and get him back to where he belongs. On this journey you will encounter many more characters, some especially weird!

Both Pseudo and the Boy are wonderfully acted characters and their banter is well executed; often light-hearted and exposition heavy, but sometimes genuinely deep and thought-provoking, which I would have never imagined coming from the original Zeno Clash duology.

Overall

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos far exceeded my hopes and desires for a Zeno Clash 3, and despite some janky moments, it's gonna be a hard 10/10 from me. I sincerely hope the talented team behind ACE Team return to Zenozoik again soon, either in an expansion or a new installment.

I have never had any interest in buying or owning a PS5, nor have I ever played a Ratchet & Clank game in general, so I was pretty excited when this game released on Steam after a few year's wait. Double glad because it's actually a phenomenal game, and a very good PC port on top of that. Sure, I've run into a few glitches here and there; but I can name every instance on one hand.

PROS
- Very punchy, fluid combat
- Mostly freeform travelling - You can travel to and from different planets to complete missions or go back and look for collectibles you may have missed
- Arena mode is a fun, if rather short tier challenge system
- Ratchet & Rivet, and of course by extension Clank & Kit, are wonderfully acted and animated characters who have kept me drawn in
- Every world you travel to introduced a new mechanic for you to use, some transferring to other worlds as well
- Lots of cosmetics- all of which are earned. HOW'S THAT FOR SOME PRIDE AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS?

CONS (a rather short list)
- Jumping can feel janky on keyboard/mouse, and I died a number of times simply because either the jump input didn't go through or I was stopped short for seemingly no reason. This happened a lot on the vine swings and slide rails.

Seeing as I have only one con and it's not even a big deal, it's a 10/10 experience to me. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
