Hell yeah. It's got some QoL oddities in it, but extremely unique and overall very well done. Perfect if you have a group of nerds.

A different experience that adds an entire additional story to the base game, while still being tied to it in a beautiful way. I would argue it's extremely worthwhile addition. The "horror" aspect is not nearly as bad as the negative reviews would imply; while the DLC does add some horror feeling, it's not much at all. In reality the horror is just a gloomy setting and the fear of the unknown, and once you start learning it will very much change your view of this aspect, which I think is perfectly crafted to mesh with what the game is. Just get it (but... don't try and do the base game and DLC at the same time, it would be very overwhelming. Play the base game first, then return to this in that completed save game).

In all seriousness, however, games do not get better than this one. The DLC also very much lives up to the game itself. The downside to the entire Outer Wilds experience is that you can never speak about details of this game with people unless they've played it, as it's too unique. It's one of those games (DLC INCLUDED) that you'll wish to forget, so you can experience it for the first time again. Also prepare for an i n s a n e soundtrack, base game and dlc's.

(Note: The time I have played on this is actually after I'd played the base game before, when it was an Epic Games exclusive. Yes I bought it here when it came time for the DLC + I replayed the game)
