Not the most engaging combat, but that's about the worst I can say.
Original story, interesting mechanics (that are if anything are simply under-explored, hence the less engaging combat) and adorable characters.
There's another review I saw that said the characters felt empty and hollow.
I reaaally need to stress that that's entirely false from my perspective. Maybe they didn't like the characters, maybe they didn't play enough of the game to actually see more sides of the characters, but I can guarantee you that they're not empty or hollow. The charm of this game comes entirely from its story, characters, and the fact that the main storyline is very easy to follow if you're not looking for all the secrets.
You DO need to progress to get to the good puzzles, and you DO need to actively search for the secrets to be able to find the challenging puzzles... But all that tells me is that they wanted anyone to be able to complete the story. You don't need to be great at the game to beat it, but you will need to learn how to use the mechanics to your advantage if you want to find everything.
Severely underrated, incredibly heartwarming, and undeniably original in its setting and story.
If you NEED good combat to enjoy a game, maybe don't play this one, but if you're able to accept a game for what it is, and not what you want it to be, give it a shot... I promise you you'll find something about the game that you like.

Combat definitely feels like it wasn't fleshed out enough, but as I said, that's the worst I can say about the game.
