I wanted to like this game. It seemed cool for 15 minutes but its just badly designed. Despite there being prompts that i needed power supply, I couldn't build a stone quarry beside rocks. This is essential for your first military building and it didn't work.
Nowhere was a valid spot. Just really bad design. I cant tell if it was AI generated and a bit random, or it didn't cater to a new player or what, but it sucks when you cant go past 15 minutes without losing simply because the game wont let you build something. 4/10
Good idea, terrible execution. And whats even crazier was this was £17 on sale but didn't have basic functionality.

I feel bad about posting this but who cares, its my experience.

I finally caved into the hype and bought it on sale.
I was really disappointed.
Combat is clunky and really awkward, as with most movement.
Visuals are pretty poor despite how cool all the videos looked. Even on ultra it looked bad, almost like some final fantasy game when I was expecting realism along the lines of what skyrim went for.
The voice acting is TERRIBLE for the MAIN CHARACTER. Man, hes so boring. It seems like the devs went more for "what will girls who use tumblr like" rather than "whats actually good". And a lot of the dialogue writing for him was just terrible.
Story was the only redeeming factor but the poor gameplay put me off bothering with the rest.

absolute borefest, the times i did see enemies they were way too far to get a shot off, does a lot of things red orchestra and Heroes and Generals are good at, only badly.

Decent game though not worth the £45 price tag. Lovely visuals but not much character difference in NPC's at all.
I'd hoped it would be more story driven but you leave your job right away, then just kind of go place to place accepting missions. Feels like a weird mix between dishonored and skyrim.
Its fun but the lack of clear story hurts it.

Hated the game camera, a real pain to use compared to the easy cameras of Rome1 and 2 and Med 2, Shogun also had a relly horrible camera.
Gameplay could be far better, again, the camera made the campaign nasty for me to play. I did not bother going any furthar, I thought I could get used to it so I tried custom battles.
Probably the worst total war experience I have had (and I played early Rome 2) not only are there very littly customisable options, you cant set huge funds to have a CUSTOM BATTLE exactly how you like it. No huge armies, nothing. You have to budget as if you were playing an early campaign. About to install Napoleon to see if I have a better experience, I highly doubt it.
