Here's a tip for a CS:GO noob: "Focus on crosshair placement and positioning."

A lot of beginners make the mistake of having their crosshair too low or too high, and it can cost you in gunfights. Keep your crosshair at head level, and try to position yourself so that you have the advantage when you peek around corners. It might seem small, but it makes a huge difference when you're taking engagements.

Also, don’t forget to communicate with your team and share info! CS:GO is a team game, and being a good communicator can turn the tide of a round.
