One my best Tales experiences in recent years. The story is decently written with a good amount of twists. The characters don't feel like 1-dimensional cardboard cutouts and actually feel thought out (to an extent). The combat is 100% the best we have in a tales game to date and each character feels unique with their little gimmicks and each feels really fun to play. After 70 hours of collecting all the achievements I can say without a doubt this now in my top 3 Tales games. Also I bought the standard edition and then bought all the packs and costumes besides the 4.99 pack and I can say the skill panels didnt make a difference to how I played the game. Honestly think some people are blowing the monetization a little out of proportion.
