The game is great. I loved the first one and this one is even better.

Gameplay is a lot more fluid now with new added mechanics, more weapon customizations with pros and cons to them, class specializations (not too much of a fan of this, I prefer making people what I need them to be with kits, but I understand why they did it).

Lots of missions, workshop missions made by other players, ability to make new teams of characters.

I recommended this game if you enjoyed the first one - or if you enjoy tactical strategy games.

Played it for a while during the free to play event.

For starters, it is basically the same as the first title they released - just has some more detail in building functions and more lively cities.

My biggest issue with the game (and why I will not buy it), is because the graphics are so dull. Buildings, grass, roads, etc. have no texture - they are just smooth and look like plastic buildings. Don't get me wrong, the graphics look better overall from a distance which is how you'll usually be playing. But for all the complaints I hear about terrible performance, you'd expect the roads to look like they are roads, and not a plastic play set.

I understand that performance wise this would tank your frames a lot more than they already are. But for a newer title and as someone who loves photography in and out of games - I wanted better visuals.

-

If you don't care about zooming in and seeing lots of details and want the game simply for the city building aspect, I 100% recommend buying this game, it's a lot of fun and I think you'd enjoy it.

Democracy.

Game runs great, one of the only games released in recent years that actually is optimized. Gameplay is repetitive - but fun. And the devs care about the game and constantly change the battles to make them more entertaining for the playerbase.

Highly recommend.

Payday 2 played better, this game just doesn't play well.

The movement, gunplay, and UI just feel wrong. I loved Payday 2 so much, so I was very excited for Payday 3 to come out, but for some reason they decided to change all the gameplay elements that made Payday 2 such a hit - and they changed them not for the better.

I cannot recommend this game, I highly recommend Payday 2 though, that game is still a lot of fun, and there are A LOT of different heists you can play on there, lots of weapon choices, and customization options for guns, players, and masks.

The game is a lot of fun. Maps are randomly generated and victims/murders are random, as are the crime scenes.

~ Worth buying at it's current price, especially recommend buying when it's on sale too. ~

I've had issues where murders didn't happen for a long time, but you just have to buy some food and drink, and just pass time in the game until one happens (usually 2-3 in-game days).

The gameplay, however, does get repetitive. Scan finger prints, look at associates, look at CCTV footage, find criminal - arrest. But the crime scenes are randomly generated, so you wont always have some of those details (ie. if the body isn't found until a few days after the murder, there won't be any CCTV footage to go off of because it is wiped as a new day comes around -- It is still possible to solve the murders, and if you're at a dead end with the current scene, you just have to wait for another murder to happen to get some new clues).

Between murder cases you're able to do some side missions found on the cork boards in restaurants and bars by the phone. Good way to keep you busy and make some extra money. You're also able to buy new apartments and you're able to customize them a lot (change the floors, ceilings, walls, furniture, etc.).

The inner villian in me, does wish I could also murder in this game, or at least use guns like everyone else in the city, but alas, you cannot.

The game is simple, easy to understand, but also leaves room to experiment and figure out better ways to make new potions. Love the art style, music is great, and the dev teams is always working on new content.

I highly recommend the game if you're interested in a casual fun fantasy potion making game.

The game is fun, good campaign, graphics, etc.

But my god, why the hell would they force everyone to boot COD HQ in order to play MW2, the amount of time spent opening and booting the game 4 times so it can restart and update every time is completely avoidable if they never made COD HQ.

I love the game, but hate whoever made the decision to force me to open the game 4 times to actually play, and my review is gonna be negative until they revert their poor decision.

I mean, come on. There is an option for literally everything. Don't like an NPC? Kill em. Don't wanna use a sword? Throw a lot of pots at them till they die. You can use the environment to kill enemies (cliffs, chandeliers, rocks, animals, etc.).

The amount of detail in this game is insane, and the story is beautifully written and the world is so well crafted - super immersive, very enjoyable.

You can play however you want, you can play a villain that kills everything you come across, a hero that saves everyone, or just be meh, and just do what you want.

Character customization isn't that in-depth, you can't edit faces or the size of your hips, shoulders, head, butt, breasts, etc. But you can choose between fit male, fit female, tall buff male, and tall buff female. Plenty of hair styles to choose from, LOTS of eye colors to pick, you can even do two different colored eyes if you want.

You cannot make a full custom party solo, there are hirelings but as of posting this review, you can only change their classes not their appearance (they also are like mercenaries so you pay them for a certain amount of time, then they leave - but you can hire them back again if you want).

Of course all the issues this game might face now will certainly be addressed soon enough, patched and updated by the developers - or by the modding community which is already in full swing.

I highly recommend this game if you enjoy Dungeons and Dragons, fantasy RPG games, turn based games, or just exploring open worlds. Personally, I've never really been a huge fan of games like this - I tried out path of exile, but didn't really enjoy it; but BG3, it's amazing - it will 100% become one of my all time favorite games soon enough.

Also honestly speaking, $60 for this game is cheap as hell for what it should be priced at for the amount of blood, sweat, tears, and time that went into making this. AAA studios like Activision are charging $70 for a 6-10 hour story and the rest of their effort and budget go into multiplayer (I love COD, got more than 100hrs in MW2, but not a fan of how short the story is/story missions). I get the series has been created solely for multiplayer for the past decade or so, but I love single player stories as much as multiplayer game modes. AND BG3 HAS BOTHHHH!!

Just saying.
-------- Below was fixed in a patch a month or two after release ---------

One last thing before I end - one major issue I've found with BG3, is that if a friend joins your game mid-story then leaves, their character is PERMANENTLY STUCK in your party - even if you kill them. Can't swap them out, can't delete them from your game, they are stuck there. Hopefully Larian fixes this at some point - but just a word of caution if you have a friend who flakes a lot.

The game has been a lot of fun so far, the loot seems to be well balanced, and the missions are fun and each one is different.

Combat is enjoyable and well balanced (as long as you don't fight above your level, then it's a struggle)

I definitely recommend this game, I'm not really into turn based games, I enjoy a few and this one is one of them.

I really hope this game gets modding support, I can see a lot of fun mods coming out of this game to make it even more fantasy-like.

A simple fun and casual game.

Graphics are fantastic and I'm running it on medium settings, there is an option for RTX which I can't use with my 1070 Ti right now, but it's there if you have the ability to use it.

Gameplay is very easy to understand and use, level designs are well thought-out and well designed visually. Game has great environmental story telling.

I recommend getting this game at full price and definitely if it's on sale

UPDATE

I completed the story, it's beautiful. Very meaningful story and ending, I enjoyed this game a lot, reminds me of Far Lone Sails. I highly recommend getting the game if you're looking for a casual and calm game to play.

Story is short but good, there is a creative mode to mess around in, and you can switch what kind of area/style you want to build in (ie. sand castles, boats, etc.)
