The game itself might be okay at its best, but its hard to tell with all the bots.

If i remember correctly, during the beta, matchmaking would pair you with at least one real person on the opposing team and fill bots in the open slots.

In the game's current state, I haven't been matched with any actual players, making this game pretty much worthless unless playing local.

The game seems fun for what i got to play of it but I dont think it works online or atleast not without Xbox live gold (which is what my game told me). It still uses Games for windows live, and i had to jump through a few hoops to get that to work, thus, the non recommendation.

If you have an xbox gold account, this game might be worth it. The game play is fun and the steam refund policy means you can test it without fear of losing anything but time.

Having never played a Gothic game before, I thought this game was really good. I felt really weak and I was really bad at the controls early on. Yet, later in the game as my character leveled so did my skills with the controls. Very old school. I can see why its considered a classic.

I was worried about purchasing the Gothic there game pack because of the reviews that said it was difficult to get working. I tried a few things out and came up with an easy English guide for getting it to work on newer machines (not windows 10 though):
