Honestly, I've been on and off about this experience, but at this point, I can't not recommend the game to people who are fans of story-driven games, first-(or third, if you're so inclined)-person-shooters, or if you enjoyed Skyrim. It's a solid experience and holds up, even with a good bunch of games released today. The two big DLC are solid, and unless you speed through the game with a guide or just follow the main story without engaging in any other content, you'll probably have an average of an hour of gameplay per dollar spent, which I'd say is a pretty good value.

If you decide to buy and play the game for the first time, I'd recommend researching as little as possible beforehand, and that your first playthrough don't follow a pre-made build and just go in as blind as possible. Maybe look up the full perk chart to figure out what S.P.E.C.I.A.L.'s you want to aim for. I've come to really like survival mode, but the restricted save-mechanic might be the biggest deciding factor you should consider. Most of the other difficulties are mostly an enemy-health slider like with Skyrim, so if you go with those, I'd say feel it out and feel free to change at any time, if you're dissatisfied with the feel of combat. Keep in mind, if you turn on survival-mode and want to try something else, you wont be able to turn it back on again without using the console commands.

All in all, I'd recommend the game to most people who enjoys open-world, story-focused single-player games with pretty solid gunplay. The story itself isn't great, but it's passable, there is some choice with different outcomes and the side-quests are mostly really what you're there for.

What a blast. Still starting new playthroughs, would recommend to anyone. Couldn't wait for the DLC for good reason

I have explored about 5 hours of the game because I keep making new characters instead of actually progressing the admittedly amazing story. I just can't stop restarting. Help.

Only played the game over, like, two weeks or something, but every session was about 6 hours.

It just works so well. Feels awesome to play, just get a VR cover so you don't soak your headset in sweat. You will sweat, it's hard to stop playing once you start slicing boxes
