Played this after Megabonk and I gotta say this is more enjoyable.

I think the early game is enjoyable when you have no idea what the game is about but learning more about the game I cannot recommend it. My biggest gripe of the game is the core fundamental feature of the game but not actually an emphasis if you want to do good in the game. Rather you building a class and trying new styles and builds for a specific character, it is not viable for the later parts of the game. Rather you need to build your characters to a specific meta to do good in the game. I am hoping that this will change in the future but I feel like the developer will now because the popularity of the game.

Ultrakill > Doom Eternal and The Dark Ages. There is no contest.

This game blew my expectations. The first play through I played of this game had me constantly saying "that's interesting" or "that's cool". While the game is simple, the depth and interactions between mechanics is curated so carefully well. Also, I am deeply in love with the Valve game references.

I don't recommend buying the game; it's a coin toss whether if it works on your PC or not due to some dumb error. Also, please don't support Activision. They utilized the release of H2M to make a more significant profit but pulled the rug right from everyone, preventing the mod's release. Seriously, do not purchase this or any more Activision games.

Great game but it REALLY needs another pass of balancing.

The gameplay kinda lacks (as of now) but the prox chat is really fun. Obviously don't buy if solo.

I cannot convey how I really feel about this game's rigged matchmaking and netcode in a small enough review where people will read. I plan on not buying anymore Call of Duty games from here on out because I am tired of being burned because an algorithm believes I am fit to fight against some sweat across the states. A company that had talked so freely at one point about setting it's net code up where it will try to predict who deserves a kill. I will admit I was a victim to nostalgia. Don't be me and save your money.
What really sucks is this is all my brother plays this game and it is the only way I can play with him.

Solid game but not the best do to some irritating design choices. Combat is pretty good except most sharp weapons when slashing feels like a blunt weapon mostly focusing on stabbing. There was like 2 parts of the game that cause me aching on my back because of annoying climbing sections because of the weird angling and longevity of the areas you have to climb which is a BIG NO. One part of the game that I can recall was extremely unclear as to what I had to do because of the amount of doors present that had keys and I spent a good hour before I figured out what I had to actually do after I already found a way to climb up somewhere to skip a huge portion of the level. Puzzles feel very bland and not very rewarding. Exploration feels useless. Story also feels very bleh. Visually the game is terrific for a VR game. Sound design and music is good. Climbing feels very clunky at times with hands not grabbing on surfaces all the time such as climb-able walls and ladders. I can't really think of anything else that stands out to me. With all that is said I do recommend buying the game but it was overhyped. (It is a tech demo)
