Harada and the gang lost the plot, increased the level of degeneracy of the game and swayed the pendulum of the balance almost completely toward aggression and forced 50/50s with little counter play. The game already needed a lot of help in S1 and was for me less fun than Tekken 7(which is why I've barely played 8 outside of lobby games). They could have made Tekken 7 with less counter hits and T5/Tag 2 movement universally for all characters, that would have made T8 great. Casuals do not care at all about balance, these changes only affect players who play your games a lot. Casuals literally play a game for a week and then move on to the next flavor of the month game. Hopefully we have a Smash Bros Melee moment, where we have a resurgence of an older game in the series with something like Fightcade that us gives rollback netcode and ranked matchmaking.

This is one of the first multiplayer games in decades where the developers promised me the world before launch and actually delivered on their creative vision. This is legitimately the best ARPG since Diablo 2 and they deserve the most praise. When the rest of the chapters are completed out of EA it might even be considered the best ARPG ever made. Everything about it just has so much soul. It's the type of product the feels like it can't be made in this era of gaming, but some how it is able to exist.

One of the best games I've ever played.
This is my second playthrough, but my first on Steam.
Very immersive, challenging (but completely fair), and well written.
A huge improvement over P1 in pretty much every way besides music.
I can't for the Bachelor and Changeling's campaigns to be released. Fingers crossed that happens.
