Not gonna go on a long review, but gotta leave something positive as the game deserves it.
It has great roguelike tactical gameplay that you can play fast like a speedy ninja or take it slow like a cunning tactician, there's some good ludonarrative resonance in that sense.
Overall a must try for roguelike tactics fans.

Skald Against the Black Priory is a cool retro inspired RPG for someone that wants to experience the early days of computer RPGs without having to deal with the difficulties of actually playing a 30 year old game, Still early in the game so not a complete review but the game has great pixel art, decent writing and worldbuilding. The combat can be tough to get into, I myself have still to understand fully how every mechanic works and it can be a bit visually difficult to see what is going on due to the pixel art style,

For those considering it for the Steam Deck. I have been playing it on the deck with a custom layout I made which you can find on the Community tab, has been working fine for me (still mostly uses trackpad as mouse though, definitely a PC game first). Also to get the most of screen space CRT filter is needed, which makes the game look waaay better imo anyway.

Overall buy if you are a fan of old style cRPGs or want to try one but actually old game seem to daunting.

Doom meets Overwatch in the best way possible. Really fun alone and with friends.

Anybody that has played the first game will love this. It improves so much on the first game and everything is more fluid especially the greatly improved combat which takes some inspiration from Hollow Knight. Though I think they could have implemented some way of not having to have only 3 skill equipped but it's quite quick to map them so it's not a really big deal.
I'd recommend playing the first one first as the story is a direct continuation, but honestly shouldn't interfere with the enjoyment much if you don't have the time.

As for issues one is the price which I think is a bit steep comparing it to Hollow Knight that has more than double the content at half the price but I can't say it's not worth the money.
Also there seems to be some technical issues for a lot of people me included which are stuttering and audio issues during cutscenes and when loading new areas. Seems to be because of slow hdd the game doesn't load the assets quick enough so it stutters. I expect this to be fixed but it isn't game breaking.

Overall really enjoyable games that is such a big step up compared to the first one. Now on to the Hard difficulty.
