Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ optimization for years that got worse and worse. Do not buy unless you have a 2,000 PC or you will struggle to get 50 FPS in combat.

Absolutely KINO Multiplayer, a bunch of Turks, Poles and Russians with the occasional German fighting in both honorable and less then honorable ways while cursing each other's mothers. It has guns but a ton of melee weapons, bows and even grenades. It's chaotic fun and the best Multiplayer of ANY mount and blade game.

Play on EU timezones and usually 10-20 people will be playing battle or deathmatch.

Played this on gamepass, bought during the sale. It's a decent RTS as someone new to this type of RTS game coming from total war. There is not nearly enough content to justify 60 USD, but there is enough to justify 30 dollars if you're a fan of RTS games.

The game itself is fun at first but very quickly becomes repetitive and its file size is insane for what doesn't feel like much content at all. On that note however, ♥♥♥♥ baby killers. Thus I am giving this a thumbs up.

Early Access Review
First impressions from a guy with about 500 hours in Warband, mods and Fire and Sword.

I have encountered only one bug that forced me to reload a save, but there are bugs that break quests, strange AI behavior and an issue where one faction tends to snowball the others by late game, leaving the player with nothing to do. I played the beta so I had a good feel for the combat already, and I liked it then and now and I would say its better in that regard then Warband. Also friendly AI, particularly cavalry and horse archers are much more responsive to commands, enemy horse archers run from enemy cavalry for as long as they can and cavalry is less "stuck" to enemy formations.

Multiplayer is fun but lacks some of the options of warband, such as a duel or battle mode. There is currently Captain Mode, Siege, TDM and Skirmish, a 6v6 one life mode.

Graphics on Ultra look pretty good, but character models eyes have a thousand yard stare going on. Graphics settings are very scaleable but the game will have issues on low end rigs (My old PC had to be on lowest settings to get 45-70 FPS back in the Beta, and that was on a 970). The Unit models are beautiful and each of the factions feel very distinct from each other, both in cities and units, though some subfaction troops feel a little broken, such as Forest Bandit hideouts being neigh impossible due to laser bows and the Battanian Forest Brotherhood troops having great two handers and longbows.

Quest variety is low at the moment to the point where I saved a man from a family member of a person he killed, only to have the same man I just slashed with a sword give me a quest to do the same thing in the same village I had gotten the first quest from. Another example was when I was tasked with bringing a mans daughter home who had eloped. I found the lovers and convinced the girl to go home, and it was a pretty engaging quest. Two weeks in game later, I came back to this same village, and this same man told me a different daughter had run away again with another man, and they ran to the exact same village.

Player formed Kingdom isn't implemented yet, but the battle size increase is a huge gamechanger (150 Max to 1000) and sieges are so much better. Also the Multiplayer is pretty great and Captain mode is just as fun for me as it was in the beta. My overall thoughts? If you played Warband and like M&B, get it. If you are a newbie and are new to the games, I would hold off for now. The tutorial does not give much instruction beyond combat and even as a Warband vet I struggled for a bit to adjust to the changes in gameplay from Warband.

A great game that's turned into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MOBA thanks to Ubisoft. Its still one of the few tactical shooters on the mainstream gaming market and it was the most "realistic" Rainbow game since Lockdown, but then ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the bed. Still a great game, but I stopped playing years ago.
