I genuinely liked exploring the art gallery, and the new uniforms we get are pretty dapper. I bought this not realizing it was for a donation cause until after I bought it, but I'd still recommend buying it.

Except now it's free. Give $5 to some other charitable cause for Christmas.

... Just not the Salvation Army. Anyone but the Salvation Army. Give it to that crackhead on the side of the highway exit ramp before you give it to the Salvation Army. :U I'll rant about that in the comments if anyone genuinely wants to know why the hate.

Edit: And yes I know a certain YouTuber illuminaughtii talked about them. I actually thought their video on the subject covers a lot of things I've known since at least 2006. Well, it turns out illuminaughtii is a dirty liar about a lot of things so now that's backfired because they brought so much attention to it and now everyone thinks that "well they lied about other stuff so I bet they lied about this too!" Well, they didn't. At least, they didn't get enough of it wrong for me to notice. Don't use YouTubers as a source. There's plenty of other places for that info out there. illuminaughtii saw an easy topic to exploit and I'm disappointed by it, because the Salvation Army is still a very bad organization.

Anyway I got off topic enough. Get this DLC, be charitable, make the world slightly better than you found it.

This review was changed from a negative to a tentative positive to a very positive. After using this DLC extensively, the assortment of vehicles alone and the vast customization they offer has on its own given me reason to say this is probably worth the $23 price tag and it is ABSOLUTELY worth it when on sale.

So I was frustrated by the fact that despite all this new content, I wasn't able to really use any of it outside of a niche scenario of East vs West Germany. Like, there weren't even any Soviet units. Turns out, this is not entirely true. You can change the emblems of all vehicles in the attributes section.

This means I can actually USE these vehicles in other missions, which is great, because while a lot of the vehicles can be found in other mods, these vehicles are of a higher quality, and there's still some unique ones that I want to use in different scenarios.

You can even change emblems on vehicles to countries that rightfully shouldn't have them. It's silly but I love that flexibility. Mods further improve this flexibility to a massive extent, and these vehicle models are most often superior to those offered by CUP and RHS. If I have a choice of using GM or a modded vehicle equivalent, I will use GM because of the customization they offer.

For over twenty bucks, I expected more than a couple of niche factions and weapons/vehicles available already from CUP.

That is not the most frustrating part, though. What stuff it shares with CUP and RHS, this mod still does to good quality, and there are still vehicles at least that are unique to this DLC, which I appreciate. However, they aren't numerous enough to justify this price tag.

But that isn't the biggest gripe I have with this mod. The most frustrating part is that I can't USE any of the good stuff.

Why not? Well, I want to be able to make mission scenarios OTHER than East/West Cold War Germany. The skins offered by this mod do not allow for that, because there are no other alternatives. Even the stuff like Soviet equipment does not come in any flavor other than East German.

Literally all the DLC's authors have to do is give a selection of skins without the country emblems on them. Do that, and I'll be a happy enough man to turn this negative review into a positive one. It would allow me great flexibility as a mission maker that this DLC sorely lacks at the moment.

Okay I had a lot more fun with this than I expected to.

It's a good city management game with lots of humor to keep you interested.

Snag this one if it's on sale and you like city building games such as Anno or the like.

I've been playing since this game was called Lock On, and it was published by Ubisoft. My hours shown on Steam do not give justice to the sheer amount of time I have spent in this game series.

This is positively a must have for any flight sim enthusiast, and in fact I'd recommend it even if you're just modestly interested in the genre. Get a cheap flight stick and throttle, download Flaming Cliffs 3, and find a good server. I'd recommend the 104th, assuming they are still around. They've also been around since the old days.

Well if you like games such as Factorio and Satisfactory, you'll... actually you should just play those. This DLC is not worth $5.

Maybe snatch it on sale if you like burning money. Otherwise just... you know, mod it. The only useful stuff in this can be obtained with mods.

In fact, this DLC is STILL useless unless you mod it to not be dreadful.

This feels like a good and proper DLC like the old days. Lots of new content, land to explore, it's an island--it feels like Shivering Isles for Oblivion in that regard. Maybe I give it too much credit but I liked this DLC.

Maybe the characters could be more interesting, but that's the only flaw. There's no Sheogorath for us to be entertained by. Just some creepy old robot dude.

Fallout 4 with friends. It's actually fun now.

However, Fallout 1st limitations are the most major reason for me not suggesting you buy the game unless it's at least 75% off. It's only one specific limitation that is the problem, too. Scrap.

If they let you have infinite scrap without a subscription but kept the rest of Fallout 1st as-is, I'd recommend this game for full price. I played with and without Fallout 1st. The game stops being playable before long if you do not get Fallout 1st, and it's purely because of the scrap issue.

Let me be clear; if infinite scrap was given to all players, there's still plenty of incentive to play with Fallout 1st and I would pay for it.

For the time that I was playing, I had fun, and I played with Fallout 1st.

I would actually be more likely to subscribe to Fallout 1st again if they removed the scrap limitation because I love the fact that you get in-game currency for cosmetics and also exclusive cosmetics each month. However, since scrap is the last pay-to-win issue remaining in this game, paying for it makes me feel dirty, and I know none of my friends are having as much fun because they don't want to pay $12 a month for something that should be in the base game.

Take it from the guy who spent over $2,500 on Star Citizen that this is not worth the value. Yes. I actually spent over $2,500 on Star Citizen, but this $13 purchase is where I draw the line.

Jokes aside (not the $2,500 part I actually spent that) I am just morally against Fallout 1st. Why did I purchase it anyway? So I could complain on the store page.

Really, I'd be okay with Fallout 1st if Bethesda actually made one feature not Fallout 1st exclusive. Make the scrap storage free for everyone! Keep everything else about Fallout 1st as it is, including private servers, and I won't feel so dirty for buying it.

It's literally my only complaint, but it's a big enough one that I won't be renewing this subscription when it's over.

Free scrap boxes for all, damn it. You have no idea the amount of money I will irresponsibly spend on this game if you do.

Seriously though the game is good. It came out better than I could have imagined. The AI feel like an actual challenge and your own AI aren't brain dead morons with nerf darts for missiles. (Looking at you, Ace Combat 7. >:T) Played on a controller, it's a ton of fun, but there is support for a War Thunder-like mouse and keyboard arrangement if you do not have a controller.

The game is half the price of Ace Combat and has far more replay value thanks to Conquest Mode. My only disappointment at the moment is that there's not as many planes as I would like but what planes they do have are very, very fun, and the variety of weapons is more expansive than in any Ace Combat title I've played so far because you can actually pick two special weapons instead of just one.

The visuals? Beautiful. The enemies? Rightfully challenging. The final boss? Holy crap I was shaking afterward, but I haven't had an air duel like that since the Belkan War. No scripted plot armor BS. If by some fluke you manage to bring the pain down on the big bad in an earlier level, they react by actually breaking off their attack and running away. Your wingmen have character to them and your wingmen actually do stuff. For example is Diplomat who keEPS STEALING MY KILLS DIPLOMAT I SWEAR IF YOU ROB ME OF ANOTHER AIRSHIP KILL I WILL ROB YOU OF YOUR KNEECAPS. No but really I love them. I just wish there was an Ace Combat 5 style of rudimentary commands to your wingmen.

This game is absolutely worth the pricetag. It would be worth a triple-A game's price tag but it's not priced at that. The game was made on a budget that's a fraction of the big studios and yet it came out to be so much more. I hope that someday they do some DLC. No plans for it at the moment, though.

Arby, do Frontline 59 for PC you damn clod. Or give us something. The people want it!
