Back when games were made out of passion, not a product. we were gifted with gems like this. DA:O stands as one of the last true BioWare masterpieces, created before the departure of magician developers.

This is a game of consequences, particularly when it comes to assembling your party. You can easily miss out on characters like Sten and Leliana if you're rushing or make a mistake. This design encourages players to explore thoroughly, rather than just sticking to the main quest. I recall playing this game in 2011 and realizing too late that I had missed these characters, with no way to recruit them afterward.

It wasn’t about a scenic open world. It was the deeper elements, the music and the feel of the whole setting. Many comments talk about how these aspects made you feel like it was you and your team against the world and desperate odds, and they’re right.

Is it happiness? Is it pain? What is this feeling? This is a game that matures with you as you progress. They don't make them like they used to.

If people want to call this a "walking simulator," they’re probably right, but it’s a top tier one.

Still Wakes the Deep is an excellent atmospheric horror experience. It’s direct, without too many hidden themes, delivering a top notch horror vibe that I won’t spoil.
If you appreciate characters based on reality who deal with things beyond their understanding, you’ll enjoy this. That’s all I’ll say.

The graphics and sound design are excellent, and the voice acting is a solid 10/10.
You play as a Scottish guy working on an oil rig with a somewhat complicated but understandable background. The rig runs on a skeleton crew since it’s close to the winter holidays, and everyone else has gone home. Things soon get dark and complicated, and you must find a way off the rig while dealing with other issues.
The graphics are really good and some shots of the game, like the water and the deep spots of the oil rig look very cinematic

The overall map isn’t huge. There are a few repetitive sections, but they’re intense and engaging. It’s like playing an interactive movie to some extent. The characters are believable and strong. The ending doesn’t leave much for interpretation, which can be a good thing depending on your preference.

The replay value is low, and it’ll take around 5-6 hours to complete. On sale, this is definitely worth if you’re into horror games or want a couch play experience.
On the downside, I wish there was more build up for the people on the oil rig and the main character’s friends. Their connections are clear, but they only get a few minutes to bond before the story kicks in. A 5-minute intro section where you help these guys out with their work would’ve made a huge difference.

All in all, it’s worth checking out. 8/10.

For many of us, this game takes us right back into our childhoods.
At its core, it's a really great strategy game that is " have fun first ", mind everything else later type of feel.

The graphics are surprisingly good for its time, the movement, the sound, everything.
It's just really good to play.
I've beaten all 3 campaigns on Brutal difficulty. The AI is lacking in some parts but the experience is worth it along with the challenge.
Each faction is distinct, GLA, China and USA, each having its own strengths and weaknesses that you'll deal with as you play.
Oh and the soundtrack really pumps up the gameplay! Especially the GLA one!

Worth every penny.

One can say that No Man’s Sky has one of the most amazing sandboxes in the gaming market, and they wouldn’t be far from the truth. While it’s not perfect, it brings a lot to the table, from exploration and crafting to quests and ships, you name it. It is probably the most accessible and interesting space game to date, where you can do a plethora of things just for the fun of it. However, the emphasis remains on the “sandbox” experience. There’s no real pull to the game, just activities you can do for the sake of doing them. You have complete control over what you want to do, what you want to achieve, and how you want to play.

No Man’s Sky is a game in all its form and glory, featuring pretty graphics, an expanded universe, multiplayer capability, crafting and farming mechanics, as well as building, space combat, and ground combat, though the latter is extremely simplistic.

In a sense, it’s a game made for a lot of people, so there can be enjoyment here. But if you’re looking for a more focused, polished experience, No Man’s Sky might not give you that.

I’ve really tried my hardest to enjoy this game. Thematically and aesthetically, it looks great. I love the concept of the hunter, the witchcraft elements, and the gunplay. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. As it stands, the game feels like a glorified demo with no story and rogue-like elements. Despite its gritty appearance, the gameplay is quite fast-paced, reminiscent of Doom but without the execute mechanics. Often, you find yourself navigating the map, battling swarms of enemies with poor AI and repetitive attack patterns. The game attempts to be challenging, but it ends up being more annoying. Running out of ammo or health forces you to switch between the gameplay map and the safe map frequently. I had high expectations, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I hoped, which is a shame. I refunded it for now, but I’ll keep an eye on its future updates.

I had high hopes that the DLC would address the criticism many of us had about the main game bosses. Unfortunately, it seems to be more of the same. Each boss is either massive, with its entire body serving as a hitbox, or an insanely fast opponent that can 1-2 shot you even with high vigor. The fights often devolve into a DPS race, leaving little room for mastery unless you’re willing to die repeatedly. The bosses unleash lightspeed attacks, long attack chains (sometimes 10 hits), and the camera goes haywire. You’re often cornered against the small arena walls, with the camera practically inside the boss’s body. Their near-instant attacks deal most of your HP, and they have near infinite poise. Worst of all, a single mistake can lead flurry of attacks that outpace your dodge.

Best part of the DLC is the atmosphere, explorations and some of the items you find but the bosses are the least favourite part this time around. It just feels like at this point, it's just a D measuring contest instead of trying to improve on a game and come up with new ideas to innovate wherever possible.

Ghost of Tsushima is a journey into feudal Japan, where honor clashes with survival and the path of the samurai intertwines with the shadows of the ninja.
Imagine if the Witcher 3 and a samurai epic had a love child - That's Ghost of Tsushima.

Positives:

+Story
I've missed a story of this calibre.
Finally, the courage and guts to show the consequence of war, not only on the main character but also on the intricate world we inhabit and the diverse characters we encounter, including the very foes we engage in combat.
Unlike games like Assassin's Creed where everyone's having silly fun while comitting mass murder, Ghost of Tsushima treats each sequence with a lot of respect.
You're Jin, a samurai whose home has been ravaged by Mongol invaders. They've turned the precious island of Tsushima into a bloody battleground. It is up to you, the player to reclaim your home by any means necessary.
The characters are complex. Your companions evolve alongside you, their stories intertwining with yours. No black-and-white morality here, just shades of gray. And yes, there’s a hint of romance – but not enough to distract from the main course.

+Graphics:
10/10.
The game’s graphics and atmosphere are nothing short of breathtaking. Tsushima pulses with life and it isn’t just a backdrop, it’s a living, breathing character. Explore its hidden shrines, chase foxes through bamboo forests, and bathe in hot springs.

+Gameplay:
It's fluent, gritty and satisfying. I highly recommend you play Ghost of Tsushima on Hard right from the start with minimal HUD setting for the best possible experience.
It requires a level of skill on higher difficulties, making plans with each encounter and using all of the skills at your disposal to facilitate each fight. You can also sheathe your sword at will in a cool samurai fashion!
As you play, you'll unlock various stances in order to deal with various enemy types.

+Customization:
Plenty of amazing options and smart progression. Whether you prefer the rugged look of a ronin, the stealthy attire of a thief, or the regal robes of a samurai, Tsushima caters to your style. Collect outfits, hats, and skins for your swords. You can also upgrade your outfits to look different and dye them with various colors.

Negatives:
- Now, let’s address the elephant in the room: the PSN problem. Some countries can’t access the game. It’s like serving a feast but locking the door for half the guests. Let’s hope they sort it out someday because this game needs a lot of attention.

- Stealth gameplay? A breeze. Maybe too much of a breeze. The enemy AI sometimes acts like a blindfolded squirrel which is easy to outwit. But hey, at least you won’t need a PhD in stealth tactics.
More options for stealthy approaches would elevate the experience further as the enemy is clearly impaired whenever you're going for a stealthy approach. They don't have enough tools at their disposal besides some eagles that can detect you.
I wish that we had more options in these stealthy approaches such as poisoning the enemy or destroying their supplies.
While some quests do this (main quests only) by the end you have to kill everyone in the camp in order to win.

-Lack of romance
The absence of a romance subplot is noticeable after a while. There are hints between Jin and other characters but it doesn't fully explore these connections and relationships even though it should've and could've and it is often insinuated as you play that characters are interested in each other during their downtime.
It’s regrettable that although Ghost of Tsushima occasionally presents itself as an RPG, granting players choices during cutscenes, it fails to provide any romantic options for character interactions which leads me to:

-Superficial RPG elements
The game incorporates RPG elements into its dialogues, allowing players to make choices. However, these decisions often lack significant consequences.
Whether you choose honor (samurai code) or dishonor (the way of the Ghost), the impact on the world remains minimal. The choices you make do not drastically change the course of the story, nor do they affect the rewards received after the fact. This was a wasted opportunity and often an illusion of choice.
The skill tree, for instance, offers upgrades, but by the end. most players will likely unlock everything no matter their style of play.
I wish, depending on how we played to unlock points in skill trees based on the path we've chosen:
Samurai or Ghost. Sadly, we don't get that here. Its RPG elements lack depth and fail to create meaningful consequences based on your decisions.

Mixed for those interested:
The online mode: Legends, functions just right with several classes to pick from, a separate story mode that can be played with up to 4 friends. Overall it's good and a welcome addition to the game. Sadly, you cannot play it without having a PSN account.

Conclusion:
Ghost of Tsushima is one of the best ports released for PC, THE best samurai game you could ever play.
Sure, it may not be perfect, it's not a Red Dead Redemption 2 detailed game but it brings to the table a whole lot to make it deserve a
10/10.

Helldivers 2 is the kind of game where you come for the intergalactic heroics and stay because you accidentally threw a grenade at your own feet. It’s a game that teaches you the value of teamwork, mainly by punishing you mercilessly when you forget that ‘team’ doesn’t include the alien hordes. With more friendly fire than a family BBQ, it’s the perfect way to test the strength of your friendships… and your reflexes. 10/10 would dive again...just after my squad stops reviving me into an active volcano.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater: one of the greatest games ever released.
A great way to start the franchise if you're looking through here.
So, what is MGS3?

Welcome to the jungle, we’ve got fun and games, and by games, I mean a stealthy escapade with the one and only Snake. This isn’t just a game; it’s a crash course in survival, espionage, and the fine art of eating reptiles. Yes, you heard that right.

First off, let’s talk setting. The year is 1964, and the Cold War is as chilly as the freezer section at your local supermarket. You’re dropped into a Soviet jungle so dense, even Google Maps would throw up its virtual hands and say: “You’re on your own, buddy.” But fear not, for you are Snake, a man who can survive solely on his wits and the occasional raw amphibian.

The gameplay is a smorgasbord of stealth, action, and gastronomy. You’ll find yourself whispering “be vewy vewy quiet, I’m hunting Wussians” as you sneak through the underbrush, taking out enemies with moves so smooth, they could be sponsored by a butter company. And when you’re not being a sneaky snake, you’re playing Bear Grylls, treating injuries with nothing but your two hands and a stubborn refusal to call for help.

Now, let’s chew on the “Snake Eater” part. In a move that’s equal parts survivalist and food critic, you get to dine on the local wildlife. Ever wondered what a tree frog tastes like? No? Well, too bad, because Snake’s about to find out. It’s like “Fear Factor” meets “Iron Chef,” where the secret ingredient is always something that slithers or crawls.

The graphics? They’re so good, you’ll forget you’re playing a game and start swatting at mosquitoes that aren’t really there. And the soundtrack? It’s like someone put James Bond, Rambo, and a Russian choir in a blender and hit the ‘epic’ button.

The controls take time getting used to - but it's the unique style of the game. Can't complain, back in 2004 devs tried to reinvent the wheel. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. For MGS3? It's doable.

The game has insane amount of detail. Experiment and you'll be rewarded.
Game clocks around 7-15 hours of gameplay with cutscenes, continues, etc.
Bosses are cool, make sure you check through the CODEC to learn more about the game, each area and how to fight against certain enemies.
Storywise?
It may make you shed a tear or two by the end.
A thrilling adventure.
My advice?
Play it on HARD even from the start up to get the proper experience and use all of its mechanics in your favour.

This is a game that’s not afraid to take itself seriously while also winking at you from behind a cardboard box. It’s a thrilling ride through a time when men were men, and snakes were dinner. So grab your controller, and get ready to say, “I can’t believe I just ate that,” more times than you’d care to admit.
