Best game in the genre hands down imo. I don't think there's another quite game like it available. I got almost 700 hours and it feels like I only played 200 hundred max. Teammates in ranked WILL disappoint you, but they win you games sometimes too. Lots of carry potential if someone is slacking but still trying at least. Mental is huge, wins games. Probably as or even more important than the perk draft and the score. Lastly, If you care about being good switch your controls so you move with WASD and aim the core with your mouse cursor. Highly recommend you give it a try with 2 friends. I think I'll probably will play this game on and off for a while.

Launch day review - Game barely works... Codes given in the online stream are very hit or miss and last for 5 minutes only or something. Not to mention they kick you out of the game when you use them. I really like the game I want to play and enjoy the launch day experience unfortunately the server issues and bots in online matches are really ruining it. Will change my review once they fix the issues.

Game is probably gonna die unless new people come in, so my review is positive negative, but I can't in good conscious recommend this to anyone. Changed my review to negative on November 17 2022. After Pheongate, they have proved to not be supporting the long term health of this MMO. This game is so far from being new player friendly. If you treat it as a single player game with bots running around you then sure I could say it's a pretty boring free to play game with a simple story. Why even waste your time with that? The intro is long and boring if you consider the lack of real people along the way. I thought it was fun doing it with friends for the first time when the game was new. When you're done with that you find out people who are "good" at the game basically have wasted over a thousand hours juicing one character, or have paid way too much money to make their numbers bigger and the content easier. If you do somehow make it to the end game content which is the best part for most people; good luck trying to get in a lobby (or play bard or paladin you can get in no problem supports are OP). Half of the raid on a character at the gear level is just looking in party finder. I've been grinding this game for 9 months now and honestly it feels like a job. Login every day do the same boring content as fast as you can just to do it again later. There are so many more problems I haven't even began to describe but I think you get the point. Don't play this game until they fix all of the glaring issues.

7/25/2023 - Most recent edit - Changing my review back to positive. Purely because I think it COULD be heading in a good direction and COULD still be a great game one day. Another point AGS hasn't made a huge ♥♥♥♥ up in a few months! Amazing work on their side. Truly flawless. Really handling the defibrillators like a 2nd year med student. Frantically trying to revive the game after the dreaded Brelshaza incident. Raid was long, boring, tedious, and made people hate each other just a little more. Truly awful. The end of it (Gate 666) you'll find the utter most depraved masochistic fools writhing and wrenching. For they know they are jailed and now condemned to live out their days in some sisyphean torment chamber. Was that it? Was that life? Has it always been like this for me? Even before the game? Before life itself and the universe's inception? Yea the game still isn't there yet unless you have a very specific niche reason you want to spend thousands of hours or dollars ever week in this game. The community too is WACK like I hate to say it because there are still many cool and genuinely nice people, but the toxic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ do ruin the game for the rest of us. The game design doesn't help either it does promote toxicity with certain raid mechs. I would say it still is the communities fault at the end of the day, but you gotta be super mentally strong or Jesus to play this game a lot and not at least sometimes be toxic. One person makes a mistake and it wastes 5-15 minutes for everyone (averaged out could be more or less time wasted) You can't go a week in the game playing raids using the in game party finder without meeting toxic and terrible no-lifers. Trust me, I've seen too many crude virtual gatcha-game horrors at this point. I need a break.. Don't get me started on taking breaks in this game.

Edit: back to negative I quit. Game takes way too much time for the "fun" part. Might as well just play a single player game instead of a story, and another multiplayer game that respects your time. THIS GAME IS NOT WORTH THE TIME OR MONEY!!!

good if ur ok with cheating in multiplayer or *ahem* i mean playing with cheaters in multiplayer. the grind aint worth it good campaign though got half way

Gym class + falling + Japanese game show + wipeout + ♥♥♥♥♥♥ players = good take on the battle royale genre with no violence. Just falling. Also, my guy is orange!!!!!

You need a dedicated server for more than 4 people. 😥😣😎


edit: ended up making it through building factories and getting all achievements. It was super fun and that was before the navigation and other content updates. U can ripstick on a hoverboard now i gotta try that one time
