I would say, do not buy this game, after the hours I've put into it. This game is nothing but a cash grab for the company. It has been unplayable for a good half the players since it dropped. The demo had issues, but, they were connection issues and most people thought oh that'll be solved once servers get up and running. Nope, the massive character wipes, the freezes, the glitches, oddly enough they can't patch the game quick enough or competently enough to fix any glitches but whooo ya we get nerfs and character benefits removed lickity split. Meaning, if there's a bug that's beneficial its GONE next time they patch. Those bugs that break it, connection issues, inability to get back in if you crash, loss of progress, mods not working at all, bullet sponge baddies who can wall hack across the map. Go watch video reviews, not fanboy reviews. Angry army reviews etc. They'll tell you what's up. Don't touch it until they fix it, don't reward their bad behavior. This game has single handedly made me never want to buy another game that is touted as so stinkin awesome until its been out a few months so I can see everyone's reactions. The early buy goodies aren't worth it (honestly they never really are). They've pulled in a billion dollars off of us and haven't given us squat to show for it. If I went to work and produced quality like this I'd be fired and most likely have to get a job in a new field.

This game has an amazing sound track. It's a fairly interesting game or I think it would be, however I can't truly decide because it crashes all the time. I haven't made it even 40 minutes into the game and its taken a good 3 hours to get this far. It's crashed about five to seven times at least. It crashes randomly, it crashes when you transition from one 'screen' to another. It crashes with its crashes. It has a side of crash with a main course of crash. These aren't new issues either, people have been reporting it on what seems like all platforms since it came out. I am quite sad. It was on my wishlist and went on sale and I bought it on impulse. Reviews are mostly positive, however, I wouldn't recommend it. I am tossing back and forth - do i want a refund or do I want to just set it aside and say forget it whatever maybe they'll fix it one day. The thought of doing that makes me salty too though. This game should be stable at this point. It's not like the dialogue choices are so engaging and enchanting that you want to make them over and over and over due to crashes. The controls are also very clunky. I can't speak for the story, again because I can't get to much of it. Maybe dialogue choices later are award winning academy performances and writing. I have no clue.

If you're a masochist and want a game that rewards you with voluntold replays and restarts this is the game for you! If anyone out there has solve the crash issue I'd love to hear it. Restarting, updating drivers, nothing I've tried has helped more than fifteen minutes or so.

This is an awesome version of the tabletop game. I've played two games, it has really useful features (if you can get them to work) that make setup really easy. It comes with quick turn cards so that each new player can have a quick reference on how to do what they need to do. If you have the boardgame, but have difficulty finding people to play, this might be useful. You do still have to be careful about the quality of players you get. Watch for warning flags.

That being said. I have some technicall issues with the game at this point. I can't get the Gizmo-Tron to work and one of the player cards is set to one player and cannot be changed anymore. The player card isn't a big deal, the gizmo-tron is sort of a big deal. This Gizmo-Tron helps you during setup by putting all the pieces in their places (doors, cars, spawn points etc) by letting you choose which mission you're going to do. If you are doing a dlc mission from the website you'd turn the gizmo-tron off. Currently it's stuck on mission 01. Might not seem like a big deal, however, you cannot remove the pieces it puts out, so it its somewhat confusing. I don't know if I screwed something up or if one of the myriad of pug players touched just the wrong thing and screwed something up. I hope to find a solution though, if I do, this game is GOLD!

So I apparently finished this game in 2 hours. However, I don't think that takes away from it at all. I definitely want more of the story and hope they make more episodes of this. It was a great game, though I'm not sure if you'd call it a game more than an unfolding story of great imagination and emotion. It's very poignant but it strives for hope in the middle of sadness. If you want two hours of immersion into someone's life and imagination this would be the game for you. Don't be dissuade because its so incredibly short. I'd buy it again, I even watched the credits....how often do you watch the credits on a game?? Read the other reviews, some folks there have done a way better job than I could of describing how the game made them think and feel. I don't want to give away any story details though, so other than saying the ghosts of our pasts still linger in the present for so many of us and this game hits home with that. I think it does at least.

Pros: beautiful graphics, great voice acting, wonderful story, though fantastical it still felt real
Cons: length really is the only one I can think of.

I really liked this game. I have to warn anyone with major issues with heights, it can get pretty intense in the original game, though the following not as much so. The story is fairly simplistic in the starter game, including the big over the top bad guy and battles against him can cause a few eyerolls. The game itself though, the combat, climbing, the sounds at night, all of these things add up to really give an intense, edge of the seat feeling at the appropriate times. I definitely recommend this game.

I am seeing a lot of complaints about the season pass and how techland is screwing everyone over. I, personally, don't necessarily consider cosmetic packages as continuation of the game. They did not (as far as I know) screw anyone over with this package by holding back story/game progression content. If you do, however, want to have even more swanky skins for weapons, cars and outfits then you'll need to purchase the cosmetic DLCs. I don't think that this company is the only one with this viewpoint either.
