So far, feels like heavily modded oblivion - I was originally worried this would turn out to be unreal engine slop, but it managed to retain a unique style that still feels like oblivion. A bit expensive, but I can't really complain with this remaster :)

the writing is bad (obviously) and the characters are even more annoying. kinda fun if you just want to shoot stuff, but meh

only 21 hours in and I can already tell this is one of the best roguelikes of all time, easily. I will 100% this game eventually mark my words

If you like tboi or noita, or any other roguelike where the game constantly dares you to become stupidly overpowered.... yeah this is for you (in card game form, which I normally don't like - this is the exception for me)

It's a fun little game to explore every once in a while. Is it worth sitting down and putting a ton of hours in? no of course not. Would it be worth money? proooobably not, maybe a dollar or two. But it is fun every once in a while to jump in for half an hour and look at random places when you're in the mood :)

It certainly is the most 7/10 game of the year. It's not a bad game, but it's not a super good game either and it's certainly not worth $70.
Some of the side "main" stories are really good - I loved Neon (especially Ryujin industries), the Crimson fleet was pretty decent, but there's one big issue - the *actual* main story sucks. What I want to say about it would spoil what happens ~10-20 hours in so I'll let you look up the story if you don't care about being spoiled, but the plot of starfield feels too fake and goes all over the place in ways that aren't enjoyable. Even SKYRIM has a good main story compared to this (to be fair I actually kinda liked skyrim's main story, but that has the excuse of being over 10 years old). The planet generation also isn't as amazing as they promised. Todd said that the exploration would be amazing and that there would be tons of planets to explore, but honestly? It feels like 5-10 planet bases with random generation thrown on top of it - there's not really more than a couple planets on repeat.

Long story short? The music is actually amazing (all recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra and written by Inon Zur), the graphics are.... fine. It requires a super beefy computer to even get halfway decent performance and ok visuals, but it's not the biggest problem. And the plot - broken into two sections, side plot and main plot - is pretty good and godawful respectively. I've enjoyed this game some, but I couldn't really recommend it - even on the sale that brings it down to just under $50.

Also my favorite thing about this game has been Juno's Gambit :)

You can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ turn right or down if you're using keyboard + mouse in VR - but don't worry, I found a fix online! For some reason, this is fixed if you have a 4k monitor, and anything less breaks the game :)
