Remarkably similar to Cold War, but with a lot of fixes and positive edits. Generally I'd say this is the best Cod+Zombies since BO3. Zombies mode feels quite a bit better than Cold War did despite being largely the same. Game's pretty great overall.

Like if Red Dead Redemption 2 and Ghost Recon: Wildlands had a horrifying zombie child.

Stab your friends in the back both literally and figuratively, and watch your relationships crumble.

I bought the game about 6 days ago at the time of this review, so my play time should mostly vouch for the quality of this game and the potential I see in it. HOWEVER, if you're buying this for a polished online experience, don't waste your money.

R* has proven since the online's release over a year ago (on console) that they clearly don't care about the online experience in this game as much as they care about whatever other "projects" they are working on (GTA VII). For instance, I bought this game along with two other friends, and we enjoy it a lot when it works. With that said, we all consistently receive an error message saying that an issue on R* servers has caused us to disconnect from online. This wouldn't be a big deal if it didn't happen almost every 30 minutes (not exaggerating).

You can basically ignore all of the reviews saying that the game won't run or it's got terrible optimization; if you have a decent PC and you think you can run it, you probably can. I've had NO issues with crashes overall (maybe 1-2 instances); The REAL ISSUES lie in R* online servers.

The moments when you're able to stay in game long enough to experience the content that RDO offers (or lack thereof), you'll enjoy it and want more. Unfortunately, there's also a rather severe lack of content on the online side of the game, but I'm hoping that that may soon change.

Overall, singleplayer is fantastic, don't worry about it. You'll enjoy it.
Multiplayer is great when it works, but those times seem to be few and far between. There's a lack of content, and even the content that's there seems almost inaccessible because of R* dismissive nature in regards to the Red Dead Online servers and bugs that are present.

I really hope this game gets tuned up and polished to the potential that it could be, because I obviously enjoy it and it's a fantastic game, as well as an excellent successor to the original Red Dead Redemption. All we need to make that happen is Rockstar's support and a little bit of time.

If you're buying this for zombies - which is the only reason you should be buying it - it boasts the best zombies mode I think there is to date. in terms of customization and map selection. However, for a very long time there has been persistent issues with crashes. I can't recommend buying this game in its current state because it simply won't run. The gameplay that's there is great, and I love the support for custom zombies maps, but I can barely play any zombies at all because every time I get into a match, solo or multiplayer, it crashes. Really frustrating when I put over an hour into a game and it just suddenly decides to crash. What a shame.

Update 2/2/20: Activision seems to have patched these issues. I have little to no issues with crashing at this point, and I've changed nothing in my build (but my PC case and some peripherals). Buy this game if you love zombies (probably not worth it at full price though)!

Don't expect it to look much better than it did, but that's not really the point. The game is here and it's everything we wanted it to be (minus the progression system that needs some work, but at least they tried). Definitely worth the buy.

Runs beautifully (especially if you know the console version) and is overall a really entertaining, funny, and gory game. Try it with friends.

Literally just finished the game, won't spoil anything, but just like you've read 10-15+ times already, this game will blow you away. You can't come here to judge this on it's gameplay. If you want a game with good gameplay, look elsewhere. This game offers a message that everyone should have, that many haven't recieved. A message I believe you would be happy you spent your time and money on. The Beginner's Guide makes you think deeper than you may have ever thought before. You'll spend hours fascinated with it, even after it's over. Find a way to spare your $10 and just a mere few hours, I promise you it's well worth it.
