Great game, absolutely goated. Loved it on Vita and I'm over the moon about being able to play it again. Looks absolutely CRISPY now too - by no means the most technologically impressive remaster but the vita screen was so cronchy by comparison that it just feels really neat to be able to see more of my favorite game. There are no "AI voices"; The game is using a deliberately janky TTS engine for the accessories and Percy, and it did the exact same thing in the original. I WOULD like an option ingame to go back to the JP TTS for nostalgia's sake.

I haven't had a single performance issue on Steam Deck or on PC and my laptop technically misses the minimum specs. Games being unplayable at launch is obviously a super frustrating scenario, but it sort of feels unfair to assign full blame to the devs on this one. On one hand they should have tested more thoroughly... but on the other hand Windows has been a steadily worsening garbage pile for years now, and the issues the game is having all seem to be Windows related.

Overall super cool game with a neat unique aesthetic, IMO better than monhun. Very glad to see it accessible on a modern platform. Soul sacrifice delta when?

If you're one of the three other people who played and enjoyed Freedom Wars on PS Vita, this is likely the closest you can possibly get on PC.

They just keep making it worse. The bungled update was super rough but could have been transient... R6 lite and crossover skins killed any leftover goodwill I had for this game. I have no interest in playing cowboy COD, thanks for freeing up my drive space. Old Hunt was a great game.

I had a lot of fun with this one, though it lacks the replay value of FONV. Most of my hours reflect a single, decently thorough playthough on Supernova difficulty, so you definitely get your money's worth. Lore-wise, it's a fun world to explore and there's a lot of great satire to be found. My biggest complaint was with the ending to the Sublight questline - without spoiling anything, a lot of cool buildup gets squandered on a pretty lame joke. Overall it's a decently solid game, worth the $30 pricetag but don't go in expecting another FONV.

The idea sounded amazing; VT2 in a 40k setting? Sign me right the ♥♥♥♥ up!

...and then Darktide actually came out as an unfinished, unpolished mess of a game. Past the rampant bugginess, you have:
-Less buildcrafting depth than VT2
-Horrible 'player retention mechanics' designed to force hours of hellgrinding for the gear you want
-Missing QoL features that were present in VT2

I know this isn't Fatshark's first rocky release and I hope to one day change this review, but for now I'd avoid outside of HEFTY sales.

Just play TF2.
