EDIT: Like all Major Orders, it was done within 48 hours. Thank you to the Sony team for seeing reason. In the spirit of giving credit where credit is due, my below review should go back to the 9/10 it was, maybe even a 9.5 now seeing the goodwill from the devs. Well done fellow Helldivers, we did it!

I give the game in terms of content and gameplay a 9/10. I enjoyed it so much that I upgraded to the super citizen bundle just to fund the game studios ongoing content support of the game.

Today I submitted both my upgrade and my base game for a refund. This is regrettable, but I will not support a company deciding after its been established to REQUIRE a PSN account. Sony has a reputation of routinely losing customer PII and being shady about reporting it. I purchsed this game on STEAM to play through STEAM.

If they decide to roll back these requirements, I will 100% re-purchase. However at this juncture, I do not recommend this game if these are the business practices this company is going to engage in.

Gameplay and controls are solid. Some characters needed and have received a nerf.

Devs seem committed to the game, and balancing. Character unlocks take a reasonable amount of time, never felt like I couldnt get a character once I'd finished learning the current one I was playing.

9/10 solid free to play fighter, currently having tons of fun climbing the 2v2 ladder with a friend.

Add Walter White you cowards.

Where do I even begin? The game is amazingly good, but very grind heavy. The game also starts slow, and can feel to new players to be very directionless. This is a game where you'll spend alot of time on the subreddit and the wiki figuring out how alot of these systems work. The game can definitely use alot of work in this respect.

That said, if you manage to push through the initial grind, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ does the game open up. Suddenly you have a hoverboard, a larger mech suit, set mods, stance mods, aura mods, open world content, mining, arbitrations, sorties, tons of mission types, clan building, now you have a dormizone (kind of like an apartment), you can customize warframes, abilities, - you even get a machine that eats warframes that you dont use anymore so you can take their ability and put it on ANOTHER warframe.

All in all, the game is really well put together, and fun as hell. It is made less accessible by the amount of "WHATDOIDO" moments in the beginning, but once you are through that, there is a moment where everything snaps together. All of the sudden the game makes sense.

And the story quests are INCREDIBLE. And its only getting better. See you out on the fields Tenno!

I bought the game on a whim, saw someone playing it and it looked interesting - and at 12 dollars it seemed like an alright deal.

OH BOY WAS I WRONG. This game is better than it has any right to be. Chinese developer, very easy graphics, but man oh man this game is fun. I've become that crazy guy in Discord convincing all my friends to pick it up.

Its a rogue-lite with progression elements. Each time you load into a dungeon, and can run through 20 or so levels divided into 3 areas with a boss at the end of each area. You will find weapons with different perks, changing how the weapons are used, throughout. Game is like Isaac meets Borderlands meets Risk of Rain 2.

Scrolls are buffs to your character. They can range from elemental damage, to move speed, to carrying more ammo. Some scrolls have debuffs and buffs, like one that effects you with burning whenever you effect an enemy with burning. You might think this is a huge negative, but combine it with flame shard, a buff that makes you immune to burning, and increases your fire damage WHILE you are burning - and you've got a great build.

3 characters so far, but the first character, the Prince, hes basically the best one. The dog is fine, the bird is LIT.

Ive put 30 hours in, and have not full cleared the game. Ive leveled to 70 so far, got 4/5 ascensions on my bird, and 3 on the cat, and am mostly down to the bottom talents. My friends and I are having a ball.

Tl;Dr : 10/10 for 12 dollars, this game is insane. If you liked Risk of Rain 2, you'll love this game. Gun play is tighter than it has any right to be for a game like this.

This ♥♥♥♥ is HARD.
