Feels really solid!

Very smooth all around. After a full day of playing demos, it's nice to have controls and UI that don't feel like they're fighting against you.

Gun play feels pretty good, and so far the upgrades and weapons all seem like they help play into specific styles that will help with crafting particular builds.

A fun time with friends.

The levels are intentionally designed to be difficult, and overall has a sort of Getting Over It/Only Up sort of vibe. Occasionally the clunky controls can cause the already difficult levels to be a bit frustrating, but over all it's a good time if you just chill and laugh at yourself with friends.

Great experience with 3 other people. The open world feel was an interesting experience for this type of game, and I enjoyed the fact that it was focused on puzzles rather than the typical "find evidence" ghost hunting type game. Zero performance issues for me -- didn't even have to use upscaling of any sort.

VR - Valve Index
OOF. It says experimental for a reason! Ran absolutely horrible unless settings/upscaling was set to a point where you couldn't read any text or recognize the objects. The game doesn't allow you to move around in room-scale, so if your headset moves at all it pushes you back to the center, causing a great deal of disorientation and dizziness if you're not used to it, and hand/head tracking on the models leaves a lot to be desired.

Overall
VR aside (which we planned on playing but had to switch), the game turned out to be a very pleasant surprise to all of us. Our expectations were low after experiencing VR first, but by the end we were eagerly wanting to play Chapter 2. Especially for the price, this is a great co-op horror experience for those who enjoy puzzles.

Lots of great content to go through with friends, definitely a good deal for the price -- HOWEVER...

The birthday party/maze part of the game is such a slog and genuinely very not fun to go through. Hopefully some adjustments can be made in the future, because it's painful.

Still rough around the edges at the time of review for sure, but if you enjoy Vampire Survivors and want to play a similar game with a friend, this'll scratch that itch.

Despite its issues, I have loads of fun with friends with this game. I have no qualms with the over-all design as most of the Reddit-flood here do, and the majority of their nit-picks don't affect my review of the game.

What I Like
  • Specialist gadgets are fun and provide more unique play than just classes
  • Portal has amazing potential
  • On the fly attachment swapping allows for per-engagement settings
  • Massive maps. Some areas are practically Locker/Metro while others are more sparse, and I enjoy the ability to pick what kind of conflict I want to take part in at any given time of the round.

What I Don't Like
Not counting balance issues which, with every single other BF game, will be tweaked as time goes on
  • A number of bugs fixed with release patch
  • Bloom/hit registration issues
  • While downed, you can only see medics/squad mates when they're behind something
  • Bonus XP for certain actions feels like an afterthought (healing, supplying, etc)

If you're sweaty and use a ♥♥♥♥ bucket, you might not like this installment, I guess.

Otherwise it's plenty of fun with friends, especially once they dial in some of the balance issues with some of the weapons and vehicles.

An over-all wonderful experience.

It's early-access and of course has its issues (along with balancing tweaks that should happen), but all in all I've been having an absolute blast with this game -- it's the VR RPG dungeon crawler I've been waiting for.

I'll admit it's a bit pricey for where it currently stands, but if it follows through with what it could be, I'm happy to support it.

Simply not ready for playing.

* Settings default to things like 0 FOV which makes it so you can't see anything
* Controls aren't very responsive
* Two dead players can revive eachother
* AI can move dead players around by running into them, making them unreachable
* Player models load in as all the same one and then randomly change...?
* No steam support for inviting to multiplayer, lobby finder janky and didn't work half the time
* Practically non-existent sound effects

I could go on, but there's really no point. Skip this one for now.

It's a 20 minute adventure but WOW, does it ever make use of every second.

From the retro graphics to the impressive additions to old school text-parser style adventure games, this little gem really takes you back to the days of Sierra classics such as Leisure Suit Larry and Space Quest -- only it's SNAIL THEMED. Most importantly, it's FULL OF PUNS!

Grabbing this is a no brainer.

A great point and click adventure game with a bunch of English wit to it -- great voice acting, great writing, and great artwork. Definitely a good play if you enjoy this sort of game -- even if you don't, it's pretty funny!

The tutorial isn't needed if you've ever played something like Maniac Mansion or Monkey Island, but I recommend doing it anyway; there's a few laughs to be had. Total play time of the tutorial, episode 1, and the bonus episode was just under 2 hours.
