Edit: I lied, game too good. Must play.

I can't not recommend this game. It has a great vibe and very fun combat. I did end up giving up on it unfortunately. I fought Galahad, messed up and died. Not a big deal, but unfortunately you are then forced to go through a pointless 4 second long cinematic plus a very boring conversation with him every time. I only ended up needing to do it once but if you're really struggling with him I can only imagine how obnoxious this would be.

I then make the perfectly reasonable assumption that after a boss fight I would have even one literal second to heal and look around the room. I did not, and instead was waylaid by like 4 knights before I got so much as a chance to catch my breath. And then, of all the million and ten times this game autosaves for you, immediately after defeating a boss is NOT one. So I got shunted back to having to listen to Galahad yammer on at me AGAIN after ALREADY KILLING HIM.

Sorry guys, that's it for me. I'll never see what lies beyond this point in the game because the amount of fun I would have is now outweighed by how obnoxious this single section is. I already didn't care about what this pompous loser had to say the first time and now you're forcing me to listen to him on repeat if I make the mistake of assuming a boss fight ends when it is over rather than immediately launching into further combat? I -CAN- go defeat Galahad again, and now that I know they're there the knights wouldn't be an issue either. But my DESIRE to do so has been completely eradicated.

I don't really know what to say. This game is not for me. I can count on one hand the number of times I've used an ability potion or buff spell in ANY game for the past 10 years on one hand, and unfortunately that is ALL that is available as you progress through the skill trees.

Combat is not particularly engaging, probably owing largely due to the anemic offering of actual combat actions that are actually available. Unfortunately if the actual "play" part of "gameplay" isn't particularly appealing, no amount of writing will make me engage with the roleplaying or story aspect.

Dope as hell. I'm struggling with the mechanics a bit but having a great time doing it. The tutorials kinda stink. There's a ton of them, and they get basics across, but a lot of them are kinda "press RT to shoot bullets from your gun" tier tips. All in all, if you want to make a cosmic horrorterror that leads a civilization of werewolf crocodile people or a dragon king that commands an army of steel skinned molemen, this is your game.

This doesn't feel ready yet. Combat is laborious at best and you are immediately besieged CONSTANTLY by a litany of enemies from all directions. The tutorial is extremely slow paced and hard to pay attention to so sorry if I missed something in that labor of a task, but as it is now I just can't recommend it.

There is no occasion in which a game about being a vampire should render a player experience where almost 100% of your time playing makes you constantly ask "Why am I SO slow??"

Movement in this game, be on foot, as a wolf, on a horse, is a nightmare. Dashing offers some barely perceptible modicum of relief, but is timed to cool down JUST too long to be useful in a pinch. Particularly for boss fights wherein outmaneuvering an enemy is the intended strategy. I want to love this game. I love almost every other aspect about it. But this is core to -EVERYTHING- from building to combat, and it is an absolute slog,

Perhaps there's better movement options in the endgame, but that just raises the point that letting players navigate at a speed beyond "slow and plodding" should never be an endgame unlockable to begin with.

Very crashy but fun all around. Not quite as polished as civ. Civ 3 maybe.
