Takes huge inspiration from cultist simulator, and improves on it in many aspects. Lots of reading, learning, and restarting to be had here. Setting is a pretty dark, mildly otherworldly/mystical, Arabian nights. Lots of negative, unappealing themes including graphic ritualistic murders, suicides, and homosexuality (young boys as well). By design or otherwise, be aware of it, but it is generally a negative choice or outcome meant to be avoided. Super fun game though, and does a concept I really enjoy; Replaying the same time period or setup, and having drastically different outcomes and tons to learn. Big recommend if you enjoy this tabletop style of game, but is not a game for general (normie) audiences.

This is for both the Question and Answer arcs;

I for the most part enjoyed Umineko, it's a very verbose VN (Think fate/stay night, 100+ hours) but stays entertaining and engaging through most of it. It's essentially a mystery VN that challenges you the reader to engage with it and continue thinking, and to avoid giving up and simply passively reading.
The game presents this as a battle between the MC and the witch Beatrice each fighting to solve the story as a solvable traditional mystery, or an unsolvable fantasy story. This energy is kept through the first four chapters (Question arcs) and will ask you to go back and re-read previous chapters after giving you the clues to solve it. The next four chapters (Answer arcs) give more hints and stop one stop from completely solving the mystery and themes of the story.
Like many people I found the back half to be overly long, with WAY too much focus on fantasy elements. There is a fun in parsing the meaning and intent of the first half's fantasy writing, but the back half just feels superfluous.
Overall, glad I read it and recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind working and engaging with a story like this. The manga is also a great option for the second reading, cutting much of the unnecessary dialogue. And get ready to ruminate on, "Without love, it cannot be seen.".

Super cool presentation, and a fun game if you enjoy learning facts and putting them into a book. The last half of entries can be very tough due to how little info is given outright, get ready to feel racist and decide someone's name because they are hanging out with the other russians. Avoid looking up any hints unless you are stuck hard, and you have a very fun one-time experience. Big recommend.

Very short game, but cool aesthetics and lore. About 90 minutes long, with two endings.

Game is mostly fun, pretty much frostpunk in that it's a story experience meant to be played once. Fairly challenging and fun, but after chapter 3 I was waiting for the game to end. I had upgraded and customized everything the way I wanted and the story elements weren't very satisfying.

tl;dr get on sale if you really liked frostpunk

Fun colony-sim/survival game, think ONI + Terraria. Dev is active and communicative with updates, and the low cost of purchase make this an easy buy. I am a fan of the 'Redwall'-esque presentation this and his previous game had. Definitely suggest checking some gameplay videos to see if you would enjoy it, because while still rough the game is different enough to satisfy fans of this genre.

Fun game, great chill game to disassemble ships to. Campaign is terrible though, just terrible hamfisted story about unions = good.

Game is a good sequel to the original Persona 5. Not a shameless Dynasty Warriors spin-off game as everyone expected. However game uses Denuvo and has some random crashes, so be careful.

Campy, but more 999 style sci-fi mystery thriller. Great AA game.

Essentially an expansion pack to Yakuza 0, the amount of content feels really lacking. Most of the minigames return or are re-used with the only new content being the original yaluza story and the majima side-missions. Not a bad game, but mostly skipable if you played Y0 thoroughly.
