I have around 20 hours in the game at the time of this review, barely scratching the game's surface. However, it is quickly becoming one of my most recommended games. Each party member is interesting, and I look forward to learning more about them as I play. The quality of all of them is good, so there are not the best three you feel you always need to take. There are multiple ways to encounter a problem. I will often choose one route and, after the fact, discover a couple of other ways I could have also taken the encounter. The game rewards you with out-of-the-box thinking and can punish you for your terrible decisions.

Talking to my friends about the game, we all have quite a different experience from each other. Due to our class choices, how we decided to respond to each decision each leading to different outcomes. I don’t know how far the ripple effect goes, but I have high hopes for how things have played out in these 20 hours. I also look forward to going through the game again once this character's story is done to go a completely different route and a different mindset for my second character.

After quite a few recent releases missing the mark at 60$ and leaving a sour taste in my mouth, it is nice to have such a fantastic experience from Larian Studios. They remind me of the Bioware and Bethesda of old. It is nice to have a company that cares about delivering a complete and good product. Delivering an excellent game to the consumers instead of just finding a way to milk us for all we are worth.
