Dragon's Dogma 2 is a very fun game that doesn't hold your hand at all and makes you think. I cant really say anything on performance when I have a really good PC (110 fps on everything max with dlss on in the wild and in the city's around 50-65fps) this game is also not pay to win at all I never bought anything in the online store and will never have to because all the things you can buy you will get a lot in the first 1-2 hours. If you like BG3 you will like DD2 (Reminder no game can ever be BG3 of decision-making. for example there this person in town was following me i stop him and talk to him and then we got into a fight. me coming from BG3 thinking I could Rez him and get him to be nice but no he started attacking me ASAP was I mad no not at all.) Should you get this game if you like solo open world fantasy game that doesn't hold your hand then YES ASAP

This game should win every category on the steam awards

Actually good game of 2023 maybe even better then BG3 and even a GOTY??

I REALLY LIKE THIS GAME

I love the backrooms and play almost every backroom game out there. When I bought this, there was only 1 map (level 0). When I tell you the first time playing this and hearing the monster chasing after me made me so scared and wanted to play more. the big map on level 0 is so good, and the monsters are terrifying; the map has little hidy holes that are spread out so you can hide from the monster. When you complete the level, something crazy happens, making you want to play more. Instead, you get a message saying the next map (level 1) will be released in 1-2 weeks. 2 weeks happen, no update, so I joined the discord. found out that it's a one-dev doing everything and said level 1 would be out on the 11th. The 11th comes out no update found out it's going to be out on the 12th. 12th came, played the new map played it beat it under 5 min, and never saw the monster at all.

What I think of the game:
Disappointed in the developer for putting in dates and never meeting the dates and kept on saying sorry and moving the date.
Strong start (level 0) but a weak level 1 that's way too easy and not scary at all.

If you are the dev and you are reading this, here are some of my feedback:
-Don't put dates on a new level and not promise them on those dates it will do more harm to you and your game. I'll say, "making the next level, no clue on when it's going to be done." This will give you a lot of time to make sure the level is up to your standers without the pressure of your customers asking for levels and having time for your mental health.

I still love your game but just disappointed

I just beat the game with 24.7 hours This is going to be a simple review. Step one get R2Modman and get mods that helps with combat and UI look. Story is confusing but if you really care about lore it could be interesting. One thing I love about this game is how there is no level system its all about the armor and the skills you learn from people around that map. I went with the blue chamber because its the easiest for new players to start. The problems I have is that the game is short and the ending is not satisfying they lead you to this big thing the whole time and its stupid and you think wait this is the end this cant be the end. Knowing me I will probably buy the dlcs so I can keep playing this game.
