It's rare I write a review on a game but I just had a great few hours on a greenhorn 3 page run ...

Really mixes up the gameplay from the original, and the new additions (eg the new shadow spirit) work well.

Deciding on a path is a tricky choice at times with the calamities building up and resources need to be put to good use.

Had my hunter die on the first page when I rushed her without thinking things through... oops!

I must have played hundred of hours of the first Evil Genius game, and was so pleased when the sequel was announced.

First the bad at the time of launch: There is no in-game wiki and the item descriptions are pretty vague in what they do for stat replenishment. The world map UI is very difficult to get your head around at first, though in the late game it is less of an issue.

The good: This game plays clear homage to the first without just being a remastered reskin as a cash grab. It is clearly its own game, with the devs clearly loving the first one. With just a few QoL patches to polish off the rough edges it will go down as a milestone title and is a clear must have for anyone that enjoys dungeon keeper style games with base layout and defense.

This feels like classic Carma. The cows, the peds, the carnage .. it's all there.

The team built on Reincarnation well with performance much improved.

The recent patch has cleared up the performance issues and it has the feel of classic carma.

If you liked C1 and C2 back in the day then this is an essential game.

Ten hours in with two cities that self exploded and my third attempt stable and growing nicely I have to say I'm hooked.

This is the city builder we've been waiting for since SC4 Deluxe and NAM ...

The occasional niggling issue has been no big deal...

If you like city building games this is a must have.
