This game is honestly the best survival game I've ever played. I'm (only?) 60 hours in but there is still so much exploring to do, and so many things to discover.

This game did what other survival games did right, and upped the ante. They took all the good from the food/hunger system and got rid of the constant requirement to eat. Who wants to be worried about finding blueberries when they're trying to build their glorious hall? Nobody. The system is entirely optional, and only requires you to eat if you want the benefits (which are HUGE in combat, but negligible while crafting/building).

That, combined with the intuitive building, the MASSIVE world, the sailing (complete with glorious sailing music!) and the other major change in this survival game: no materials to repair your crafted items - makes Valheim EASILY a top five in the genre. If not top two.

Less time farming, more time exploring. 60 hours well spent, and we've only scratched the surface.

Realism Shooter FTW. This game takes me back to playing MoH:AA. If you want a true to life shooter with a gritty, in-your face play style, look no further. BONZAI!
