Asgard's Fall — Viking Survivors is a great roguelite survivors-like game.
Now even though there isnt much "new" in this game when compared to others the new things like Web of Wyrd, Warpaints and twitch extension have been made exceptionally well and for the price the game has released there is a ton of stuff in terms of content as abilities and worlds.

The game is fluid and polished well apart from few things here and there like runes dissapearing from warpaints or the occasional damage taken outside of the hitbox.
The meta progression is alright ive seen better but also seen much worse.
Overall for the price the game is great and i would 100% reccommend it if you are a bullet hell/survivors like games junkie like i am. I hope this game makes it to mobile in the future

Just so we are clear i didnt buy the game just to write this review i bought and refunded it just because it was a bunch of unoptimized slop that crashed on me 3 times within the first hour even though i have a much better system RN that the one thats recommended by the steam page

This is exactly what i wanted from a drug making game. Its nice and simple yet complex you can clearly see the love put into this game

You either die a hero or live long enough to become a typical hypocritical roblox game creator.

as of now im refunding the game but will revisit it after some patches because while i want to like this game i just cant at the moment there are some questionable gameplay designs which can get frustrating but most of all which keeps me from playing the game is the performance i have a almost high end pc (both gpu and cpu amd 7000 series) and whatever i do this game barely stays above 60 fps the other 2 things that frustrate me the most is when aiming down your camera for some reason just flicks to random directions sometimes when you are getting attacked and the last thing is animation locks....

IF i could i would give this a neutral but i wouldnt fully recommend this so im giving it a no.
i was surprised when they announced a temtem survivor like game thought of it as a great idea and fit to the genre BUT.
The game doesnt bring anything entirely new to the survivors genre they tried to do what DRG did with DRG: Survivors but this doesnt hit the same at all.

-The games visuals great.
-I like that they made sure you know when you get damaged.
-The character evolutions are a great fit for the genre(but are not well made).
Now thats about it with what i liked but there is a lot more i didnt like.
-Hitboxes are just huh? often you get hit without the projectile or whatever being there you just lose health from nothing.
-Kudos Menu is a mess.
-Meta-Progress is flat and pointless compared to other games in the genre.
-Mechanics like dash locked behind said meta-progression for some reason.
-When you first start playing the characters they dont even get all 4 actives because they are locked behind unlocks thats a hell no for me.
-The pacing is a nightmare the whole game feels so slow, The characters are slow, their attacks are slow just everything is so slow and sluggish.
-The techniques and leveling idk boring?everything feels the same and in terms of power just some stat increases no fun or crazy stuff sometimes the evolutions felt like a downgrade you just never feel like you have any power it almost never feels like you overpower or mow down the enemies.
-Character balancing is just bad some of the characters are so weirdly made and balanced that they tend to get unplayable with some of them being built upon skillshots which shoot at random enemies.
-Enemies feel like a bunch of colored rocks walking at you no variety again nothing fun to them or thats what it felt like to me, some bosses look good but are as boring as the normal enemies.

Now im not saying i hate the game its just undercooked and i feel like it could get good but not in a year there are things that need to get fully reworked or remade.
There are many Survivor like games that offer thousand times more than TemTem: Swarm does sometimes for less money.
So yeah... id give this a neutral since it just came out and its in EA but so far from what i played in tests and now its a NO

Nejsem první ani poslední kdo bude zminovat technický stav hry.
Hru jsem zkoušel na 3 "strojích"
TLDR: Pokud máte slabší pc a vadí vám konstantní pop-in textur které vám každých 10m jízdy v autě dropnou fpska o 60% a pak zase zpět tak si hru nekupujte.
Aktuálně nedoporučuji.

Rog Ally: dle minimalních požadavku neměl být problém. Bohužel max 17 fps v podstatě nehratelné.

Desktop PC: RX 6800XT R7 5800x Ač jsem zkoušel cokoliv hra neudrží 60 fps vetšinou se držela na 50 ale feeling to mělo jak kdybych tu hru hral tak na 30 ale co bylo nejhorší byl konstantní loadovaní shaderu a textur kolem každých 5 sekund jízdy autem drop na 20 fps protože se 10 m vepředu načítala textura která se pak zase vrátila do low qual stavu, špatně nastavená animace skoku se utla před dopadem a jednou se mi stal bug že mě vystřelilo nad mapu. Jízda autem má hrozně divný feeling jak kdyby auto jezdilo permanentně na ledu.

Laptop: RTX 3070 Ti i9 12900H maximum co jsem vytahl bylo 40 fps. jinak stejné problémy jako u stolní sestavy.

Co se týká vizualního stavu hry a dabingu obojí je za mě skvělé kecy typu že hra vypadá jak z roku 2005 mi přijde stupidní ne každá hra vydaná dnes musí mít grafiku jako by byla od studia která má desítky lidí pracujících pouze na vizualu.

Ač mě hra tu chvíli co jsem hrál bavila i když steam asi měl problém s počitáním herního času protože hru jsem pouštěl 10 min po releasu a hral dobrou hodinu tak za mě prozatím pass a refund v aktualním stavu si hru nedokažu dostatečně užit po pár updatech koupím znovu a dám tomu druhou šanci.

This game is just great its quite a simple loop but its damn addicting.
The visuals are great the game looks really freaking good and the overall technical side of the game(not counting the servers not working properly which is a cause of underprepared backend which i mean when you are such a small studio when the first helldivers had a peak of 7k you really dont expect ur game to pull 50x that in the first 72 hours) is also really freaking good the game even runs great on my Rog Ally so thats a big plus for me.
And like i said i really dont care about the server issues because the game isnt going anywhere anytime soon so there is enough time to play it once the servers work 100%, so i really dont get all the bad reviews just because of damn servers please grow up atleast the game works once you get in not like some games like Payday 3 or New world on release.
And if there is someone who doesnt want to buy the game because it has a battlepass im 28hours in and i already have 910 out of a 1000 super creds farmed without spending any additional money.

Yeah this was an instant refund the game couldnt pull more than 50 fps on lowest settings with 32gb of ram rx 6800xt and ryzen 7 5800x and in the few minutes i played the game crashed twice and i got like 3 bugs where one í fell through the map as soon as i loaded into the server this is a hard pass
