Haven't played it much, but I'm really enjoying it so far. If you want a really well-made platformer with a good story, definitely consider giving it a try.

Update:

Just got around to 100% completing the base game. I'm definitely buying the DLC.

First part of this review is from 2018:

I don't get why people hate on Civ VI so much. Sure, the AI can be a bit wonky but nothing super out of the ordinary has happened in my experience. I'm really excited about the upcoming expansion, "Gathering Storm", the upcoming Civs all have really unique and interesting abilities and I can't wait to try them when I get a chance to.

Some systems were changed from Civ V, and I can understand if you don't like how they were changed. IMO the new Amenities system (replaces Happiness), builder system, roads, housing, districts, loyalty, ages, etc. all make the game more complex and more interesting without becoming convoluted. For example, you have to now go through extra work to manage your tiles because districts are immovable, instead of creating an army of builders that plop endless numbers of farms, trading posts, lumber mills, and mines all over your empire. It adds another layer of strategy to master and I've grown to love it.

After a while, I now enjoy it more than Civ V.

I think the gold edition, being 70% off and only $38 is well worth it, but that's obviously up to you.

Update: (May 2020)

I'll keep throwing things in here overtime when I feel like it.

Gathering Storm is a phenomenal expansion that further refines game mechanics while bringing forth many new interesting in-game events. The game has been ported to consoles, there are multiplatform game saves, an extremely active modding community, and, of course, you can easily have hours of endless fun with your friends.

Now that we're well into quarantine and I've just about graduated high school, I have plenty of time to sink into this game once again.

The game devs have been quiet since they finished porting the game and its DLC to consoles around the end of 2019, but I believe that they might be trying to squeeze a bit more content into Civ VI (or hopefully even another expansion that tops Gathering Storm) to keep the game alive for years to come.

These days when the game is on sale you can get the base game, every expansion, and all DLC packs for about $42/43 iirc. (As of May 2020)

I'm sure that if you make the investment you'll definitely understand why Civ fans always gotta take "one more turn". :)

I was waiting for a sale... then all of my friends bought it at the beginning of November at full price...

"Please tell me I didn't just blow $60 on a trashy, unstable PC port." I thought.

No regrets. Completely worth it. First MH game I've ever played and I plan to play more. The devs are also working on bringing the game up to date with the console version, so that's nice.

If you're down here pondering whether you should buy it, just buy it. It's well worth its current price.

In the heat of battle, this game will keep you on your toes. Imagine micromanaging seven different people in a bomber while being shot at by anti-air, other aircraft, having to make split second descisions, which can determine whether or not your crew survives, and you also will have to constantly mark new targets and waypoints while your gunners unleash barrages of freedom unto Nazi scum.

You will have that moment where your whole crew gets killed and you feel like you've just lost everything, but it's a part of the game. They've also updated the game recently to make it more beginner friendly and forgiving when you die, giving you some pre-installed upgrades on your next Lancaster bomber based on game progress, and new recruits will also have a few levels already gained.

At the moment, I would only say that the types of missions that are available need to be expanded upon, but it doesn't matter that much right now. Otherwise, the game is the perfect challenge with loads of fun mixed into it.

One of the best flight sims in the market. Great graphics, level of detail, and the flight models range from simple for beginners to almost pinpoint accuracy to the real life counterpart with complex systems and procedures for the study-level simmer. Yet all of the aircraft are approachable for anyone with the ability to search for a YouTube tutorial.

Note that if you want a true experience of the sim, you'll have to invest in an aircraft or two. The prices are high but the amount of detail and the aircrafts' accuracy to real life make it worth the price tag, especially if there's a sale. Find an aircraft you think you may like, make the investment, and do whatever you want in the sim, singleplayer campaigns, dogfights online against others, free flight, just find a way to make it fun for yourself.

Pros:
-Better optimization compared to XP10
-Great graphics (Improved from XP10)
-Sound physics were improved (Better directional sound based on camera location)
-Accurate flight models
-New usable UI that doesn't make your eyes bleed
-Many options to customize the start of your flight to your liking
-Loads of great payware quality freeware
-If you're willing to throw some money into the sim, there's some amazing payware aircraft, plugins, and scenery
-Developers listen to the community and they (with help from the community) are always active updating airports, scenery, and fixing bugs
-The community is very active and friendly. If you need help on the forums, ask without hesitation
-Transition to Vulkan (Win, Linux, Android) and Metal (MacOS & iOS) is promised
-VR support for Oculus and Vive is about to be available for everyone
-Garmin G1000 is being added in 11.10
-Better than FSX :P

Cons:
-Horrible ATC (Is being fixed hopefully for 11.10)
-AI is also pretty bad (Also planned to be improved in 11.10)
-If you're into multiplayer... it's a bit lacking... It's there, but it's lacking. Unless you go on VATSIM or PilotEdge, this is going to be a singleplayer game/simulator
-Contrails look like smoke rather than... contrails
-Other silly little bugs and glitches, but you have to realize that Laminar Research is a very small dev team of few people

Overall, the sim is worth it. Definitely one of the best on the market right now.

Brief update review (Feb 21 '18):

To sum it up, the game is better than it has ever been before. The learning curve can be quite steep at times. For Honor has become the game where I spend almost all of my time gaming recently, and it's the best fighting game that I've ever played. Every character has that annoying, cheesy thing about them, but the game can honestly be fun as ♥♥♥♥ in the right moments. To be honest, without the cheese and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the game, it would get pretty boring when the community learns how to counter everything.

You will complain and get angry at some weird ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that may or may not have been your fault. But if the game was meant for you, you'll come back and try to figure out how to overcome the sweaty tryhard ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and better yourself as a player.

9/10

The stuff below is just some old opinions I've had on this game... Ignore it unless you want a good read.

This review is a little dated... will update if I ever feel like it. I've learned to love and enjoy this game, yet hate the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little inconveniences...

The old review is below: (Not recommended at the time. I have better opinions of this game now along with some hope)

Unless you can parry any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ attack ever, feint every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ so hard their brain explodes, and you have more money to ♥♥♥♥ out for the Roman C*nt himself and his handy dandy, slave whipping, sickle wielding, samurai assassin sidekick, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME...

...At least not now. I can't recommend this game to anyone in its current state. The DLC ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game up beyond what I could ever imagine. I love the concept, the unique melee combat, and the atmosphere of this game, even the story mode helped me give these characters 'heroes' a bit of background for a personal connection, (Kind of, sorta, barely like Overwatch has stories about their characters) but I can't recommend anyone to spend their hard-earned $60 on this game + whatever the ♥♥♥♥ the price is for the season pass.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fixed Siege, they fixed Division, and I hope they somehow fix this game. Even though my patience for this game is dwindling, I want to see it prosper. It's different, not just your normal FPS or MOBA. It's something fresh, but the actual product in the end could be so much better...

If it goes on sale during the summer sale coming up soon, buy it, but if you want to really try the game, you'll have to play it longer that 2 hours, meaning that you can't make your descision on this game in time to refund it. I recommend you also go into the multiplayer with an open mind and don't feel bad if you get rekt for hours and hours of playtime. This being because the matchmaker can't match people based on skill because so little people play the game at a time.

At least the ingame currency is also the 'premium currency'... for now.

I wish I could be more in depth with this review, but... I'm too lazy.

If I do see the game getting better, to the point where $60 is a reasonable price, I'll gladly recommend this game. I just want to try and save somebody from making a purchase on this over something else they've wanted.

The recent Plains of Eidolon update has probably helped to make this one of the best F2P games on PC.

A relaxing, yet intense, game about weird alien-ish peoples and descendants of humans in the distant future. Definitely worth a try. The game is quite a grind and a lot of stuff can be bought for money, but nothing is locked behind a paywall and you can earn almost anything, even premium currency through trading. It has a decent storyline with some interesting lore, and once you get into the game you'll constantly be finding something to do.

Great game to chill out with friends in. A great game that shows that developers need to think outside the box and mix weird combinations of genres together.

Quality game of angles..... buy it if you like a more 'tactical' side to shooters.

This game has come a long way. It's one of the best shooters on the market today. New operations (expansions, basically) with new operators, maps, and game balancing every three months.
