This remake is an improvement to the original in every way, and possibly one of the best remakes made. Movement and combat feels extremely fluid and satisfying, giving Isaac dialogue makes the game feel more engaging and gives more of an insight to his character, and the inclusion of an alternate ending that ties into the sequel really makes me appreciate this game more.

This game is definitely a must play for veterans of the series, and for newcomers looking to get into the series or the genre of survival-horror. Hopefully we get remakes of 2 and 3 in the future that are just as good!
