Multiplayer bad. There's no Co-op and people consume Namco Bandai lies on the issue when they say "the engine can't support or handle a co op mode." It's the biggest lie in tech I've ever seen. It isn't that hard to add even the most basic co op to a game like this. So sad. Mutliplayer is terrible, horrible balancing. You spend so much time waiting around to play with at max 7 others for like 4 minutes IF someone doesn't lame their way to an early victory because 100k points is like a game ending nuke in MW2 (another terrible gameplay mechanic). As usual, cheaters exist on PC (god mode hacks, teleportation which is sometimes just severe lag but often clearly a hack) but alot of this would be mitigated with the game having a more thorough system doing engine checks. [At the time of writing this, I had meant to add that I still spend more time in multiplayer over the single player due to the replayability of it, and the fact that make MP harder by not using overpowered parts or weapons (I still use some OP stuff but very rarely). Getting flawless victories in MP "Mechanic's Friend" without using OP weapons or parts feels fresh almost every single time, and using air-to-ground weapons to take out opponents' aircrafts (yes you read that right) is definitely fresh and ridiculously enjoyable every single time. None of this changes the fact that there's horrible balancing and awkward pandering to a certain real world nations aircraft, but we masochists made a grindable game out of the sad situation and our honourable off-meta aircraft builds.]

Single player is probably the best thing about this game but only because of how hard you can technically make it. For those of you without a natural flying knack don't worry, there's easy modes and some drama/intrigue to keep it interesting.

There are texture streaming issues showing that this dev team needs more practice with the Unreal Engine.

I just can't think of an easier way to fly cool aircraft that wouldn't have you buying a worse off Ace Combat or a game that isn't really about it. Project Wingman just came out and it copies AC7 so hard it's kind of ridiculous and they didn't even try to tackle MP problems above since there is none.

So why do I recommend this? Because if you don't care about anything [negative] I said or at times don't care then it's fun. Just don't buy it at full price.

He and his team felt a bit intimidated by Valve when we last spoke about 3 years ago. My point is that the release wasn't focused. The groundwork to surpass his old work had been around almost too long. Tactical Intervention still has more potential than any Counter-Strike game with the best mods considered. So let's welcome the return of Tactical FPS to the gaming universe thanks to Gooseman and the PC. You don't think anything this good could ever come out on console did you?

One of the best (multiplayer) tactical first-person shooters. You'll benefit from teamwork and planning as well as good aim and quick reflexes. It makes more physical / visual sense than Counter-Strike or Counter-Strike: Condition Zero (both great games too) and, as a result, it's more in line with what the original creators had envisioned. There's all kinds of guns; it's YOUR choice (if you can afford it =)
