Straight to the point for new players:
Once you start hitting level 100, you'll notice a lack of the in-game main currency SILVER.

-Monsters don't drop it
-It is essential for early game purchases, including some of your abilities
-Market still revolves around Silver
-Even your armor repairs cost this.

They tried to add a substitute to the main currency, because bots over inflated it, so they're slowly draining it. However their new currency still does not cover early game systems that still rely on it.

You can get around it by playing the market, however if you're just starting, you are locked out from market for about 2 weeks before you even begin access to it.

Many things in the market are still selling in the Millions, so unless you are a veteran player? You will be punished early on since the game still believes the average player has hundreds of millions to spend, not an over exaggeration.

Very fun game for all the time I've been playing.
It goes to the roots of how MMOs used to be in the past, which the chatroom feature lets people keep in touch easily. Just the chatroom is more fleshed out than most other MMO chat features out there today; for it doesn't get drowned out or neglected by other features, allowing a community to actually exist.
While it is grindy, the grind is something I do welcome, letting you do tasks at your own pace without a timer while choosing to interact with others, keeping true to the "While it is a chore, it is a chore we all have to do, so we help each other out, giving us something else in common to talk about."

Dev team has been splendid so far and very friendly, adding an extra bonus to the experience.

It was all going good with Maplestory 2 until they decided to copy World of Warcraft ideology of creating Dance Dance Revolution Bosses, Chaos Bosses top offenders.

What is Dance Dance Revolution Bosses (Or Guitar Hero Bosses)? They are the type of boss that forces a raid party to dance on the right tiles, or it causes a wipe, and forces a restart.

Eventually you will nail down pirouetting a boss out of muscle memory, but the moment you do, you realize how boring and dull it is, which many see how lame it is with Pyrros Fard already. Repeat multiple times and you crave for new content to end your misery, but really you're jumping into more of the same.

There is a reason why World of Warcraft isn't what it used to be and why people are going into WoW Classic as salvation, and it's because a lot of people are wising up to how lame creating a game based on bosses and muscle memory, a boss mechanic which you'll abandon in 3 months for a new boss you need to develop muscle memory. It's why people are jumping into classic old MMOs in multitude.

Maplestory, you're losing your way, a big boost was the nostalgia of old MMOs to why you had a successful upstart, but when people reach end game they see the initial 60 levels were just fluff of an old forgotten era.

A lot of the fun that I used to have with TF2 was casually joining a friend's game in a pub, be on their side, or comically kill them with a crocket on their opposite team like a prank.
No I don't hate the game, I still find it enjoyable.
But I'd rather do other stuff than level up a badge and be in a queue for ages nonstop.
Things got too tryhard-y, I wonder if there's other games for that laid back feel of the sillyness that I used to love of TF2.
