Its like Rust except with a PVE only option; which makes it a lot better imo. Also you get funni little creatures and can stuff them in jars to force them to help out around the house.

I have finished my first play-through which took me roughly 70ish hours and honestly having only played Persona 5 to completion beforehand, i'd say Persona 4 ranks higher to me. The gameplay isn't anything special, but its essentially just Persona 5 combat with a few missing features and less pretty animation (which going backwards to from playing Persona 5 first bothered me a liiiittle at first, but i quickly got used to it and it no longer bugs me at all). The main reason i'd say i enjoyed it more than Persona 5 is i feel like the story itself just felt more in depth overall and was much more unpredictable (at least to me), although it has been a while now since i played Persona 5, so maybe i'm forgetting some things. Overall, at least at this moment, i'd say Persona 4 is my favorite of the series purely from a story-telling standpoint; i've since begun my NG+ run and am now essentially just achievement hunting while following a guide to max out social links. And for those who have not yet played it, I highly recommend playing your first run without a guide and going in completely blind like i did, you will undoubtedly miss a lot of events and moments the first time around, but i think its worth it to be able to go in spoiler free.

Anyway, once i am done here, Persona 3 is next, so maybe it will dethrone Persona 4 for me, but that is yet to be seen.

Spawn in, house alarm going off, ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ grab the canned peas and run, run through the woods for 3 days and nearly die of thirst, in your last moments, discover a warehouse full of food and with running water, lock self in dark warehouse and exercise nonstop until you get a horrible sickness and fever and die a lonely cold death. So ends the story of Paul Blart.

Love pretty much the whole thing, but Ashlands needs work. The enemy spawnrate is frankly kind of insane, you cant go unmolested there for 30 seconds without a squad of 6 enemies materializing behind you. Pretty annoying tbh, and i was playing in a group of 3-4 where we still had issues most of the time fighting them all off. Other than that, i dont hate the idea of using battering rams to rob little forts and whatnot, but i kinda wish you could craft a battering ram without needing to be in range of a workbench; just seems slightly unnecessary to have to lug around the extra bit of wood. Assuming the intent isn't that we are expected to lug the battering ram with us through the whole ashlands, because no way in hell am i doing that with all the lava, and exploding slimes, and legions of vultures constantly on my ass. Finally, Fader is a cool design, very challenging fight even with fully upgraded gear. Only real complaint i have about him is the insane frame drop when he uses the move that causes a bunch of spikes to come out of the ground. Everyone in my group would drop HARD in frames when he did that, very noticeable performance drop. While not necessarily unplayable when he did so, i can imagine lower spec systems being physically incapable of handling that. I think with some more polish it could be an enjoyable region, but in its current state i cant really recommend coming back for a new playthrough just for the Ashlands. Thats what we did, and the Ashlands was really not worth the hours of grind to get there as it stands.
