It is everything you liked about Vermintide but updated to a sleek GrimDank finish. The melee combat is still cathartic and bloody, the gun play meshes fairly well and the maps are beautiful. As with other titles in the series this is a mini-title. It is not a long game, you will repeat the same missions over and over, but you get exactly what you paid for.

Dead Heretics

The penances create a fun way to challenge you on each of the four main characters while also providing some exclusive gear to flex on your friends. With the precedent set from Vermintide, real money skins are the primary way to get unique outfits once you have acquired your penance gear. This should be surprising to no one given the current state of gaming but I would appreciate a wider variety of earn-able cosmetics. It is everything it promised to be and I look forward to future content.

The art style is impeccable, a perfect blend of cute animation and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up subject matter. The game is designed to have you alternate between managing the cult and raiding the dungeon, creating a natural break in play style during the primary game play loop. The fighting mechanics are tight and responsive and I rarely felt like the game was getting cheap hits in. Every animation is telegraphed and you only take damage from genuine attacks, not just bumping into enemies while fighting. Fantastic game, already 100% the achievements on my first save file.

My biggest complaint is the lack of NG+, if I went through all of the effort to get every follower form, I would like to enjoy the early game, where followers matter, and be able to enjoy all of the follower forms I unlocked. By the end game, where I was trying to keep 20 cultists alive at all times, it was a rotating door of anonymous cultists and I couldn't really enjoy all the follower forms I worked to unlock. Losing all the other upgrades sucks too, but if I could only have follower forms for NG+ it would be worth it to me.

One of the better battle royal games I have played. The characters have unique abilities that make them feel different but none of them feel busted or a "must have" They all offer their own benefits and the gun play is what matters most in the end. I have had very few issues with the servers or being placed in a partial squad though it does happen. Hacking is pretty rare as well unlike PUBG. Overall a really good BR and for the low price of FREE, its is worth a shot if you are looking for a new fps or BR game.

I find the core gameplay loop to be fun enough, but the difficulty spikes are all over the place. I can be stomping through an area without trying and make it to the boss just fine. However there is a 50%-50% chance whether the boss will kill me in 1-2 hits and I am stuck for an hour or the boss is such a pushover I can beat it first try without healing. The base game was all pushover bosses until the Final, and the DLC thus far have been entertaining, but the trash mobs are usually more dangerous than the boss itself. Hopefully my experience changes as I progress through more of the dlc.

As good as I remembered from back in the day, significantly less toxic though.

So I just finished my first play through, I think, and let me tell you this game was worth every minute of it. I don't want to spoil anything but if you enjoy atmosphere, The Stanley Parable, and/or beautiful music please stop reading and play this game! My girlfriend and I stumbled upon it and loved it. An absolute masterpiece, I hope to find all that this game has to offer.

Edit: I finished my 2nd play through and I still agree with all my previous statements, I strongly encourage anyone who picks up the game to continue to explore it. It is worth your time.

I have logged about 400 Hours into R6 in the last year. I really love the mechanics, the operators, and the gun play. The problem I have with Siege and why I would not reccomend it is the community and the matchmaking. I have been gold since operation white noise and within that tier of players is a toxic community that doesn't want you to have fun. If you play casual you will join in a game 0-2 on match point and be missing other teamates or get team killed when the round starts. If you decide to play ranked then you will always be down 1-2 players and occasionally run into griefers but in my experience I have not seen them that often. It really puts me in a bind because I want to love this game, but it is hard to love it when I can't even have a normal, 5v5 game where everyone isn't either griefing, teamkilling or rage quitting.

Dark Souls 3 took the best of what came before and built off its mistakes in the past (dark souls 2). Veterans of the series will be treated to classic characters and tropes while still keeping things exciteing and intense. From Soft kept their deep lore and gameplay style from Dark Souls 1 and polished it to a shine.
