I'm still very mixed on this DLC, the map is nice, but missing elements that make it an Arma map (eg any airports, or large military installations). It's also missing large settlements, I figured we'd start to see more cities since Tanoa, and was hoping to see at least one large settlement with some multi story buildings. But unfortunately that's not the case.

The new gameplay elements, like radio jamming, interception, and deception are excellent and a great addition to Arma. Buuuuuut are only available to the campaign, in fact, none of the scripts, modules or anything interesting is available from the new campaign (get f‍‍u‍‍‍ck‍ed mission makers amirite?)

In review of the campaign itself, I really enjoyed it. It was an interesting take on a first contact scenario. In the map provided with the assets available it's a nice story to follow.

However, this DLC definitely isn't worth $25 because just about everything in it is a One-off-Item. You'll never use anything from this again except maybe the map, and some of the gear. So it really doesn't add much to Arma. I wanted to pick the missions apart for it's modules and scripts to use in some of my own missions so we can do some escape and evasion stuff, or some metal gear type stuff, but nope they're encrypted, so I can't even hack together some fun coop stuff.

Also aliems aren't the main focus of this campaign. They're more like a plot device, the rest is guerilla warfare s‍h‍i‍‍‍‍t.

It's fun as hell, the story is awesome, dialogue can be funny aswell, and very literal.

But I do have two issues with it, Denuvo (So don't install on an SSD), and poor preformance on higher end hardware. I can run it at 240FPS, but it stutters a lot.

Otherwise, it's a great game.

I would enjoy it, but can't. The AI pathfinding is dumb as rocks, the UI is frustraiting as all hell.

Created a runaway train by accident 10/10

I was walking around my 2nd cab, and was looking towards my first car before I fell onto it, and couldn't get back onto the 2nd cab. Train starts to pick up speed, and I end up falling off entirely.

I dig it, they got a vision, it's simple and wonderfully fun!

There is a negative stance on modding in this game. As a person who plays LSPDFR pretty regularly, being told that I'm no longer allowed to play the game how I enjoy it is essentially telling me I shouldn't enjoy the game at all.
