7/10 if you dont enjoy playing on higher difficulties or grinding for XP, 10/10 otherwise

Keynote:
Dont go in expecting a single player campaign with story with a plot.
The plot is entirely missing as you fight simply to survive in the end times rather than to save humanity. You wont be getting any kind of closure with the campaign except for fighting bosses. However, the voice acting is amazing and the character interactions are very well-written.

Gameplay Summary

  • Plays like Left for Dead and Darksouls combined. Slash, block, dodge and push your way through hordes of enemies. Clench your butthole when a boss spawns with specials during a horde.
  • Dodges dont make you invincible, you have to physically move out of an attacks way.
  • Play as 1 of 5 characters with a choice of 3 Careers (Talent trees) for each character.
  • Choose from a variety of weapons. Each weapon has different Stamina points and properties (armour penetration, stagger strength).
  • Its a common misconception that you will be spamming attacks to clear hordes, which is only true for a few weapons. Each weapon has a moveset of its own. You'll have to alternate between Light and heavy attacks to create your own moveset. Movesets and combos differ between weapons. For example: Using a heavy attack after using push attack will result in Heavy 2, not Heavy 1. This ensures that you dont resort to button mashing.

Pros
Cons
1. Large variety of weapons and careers to choose from

2. Weapons combos differ from weapon to weapon, ensuring that players dont resort to mere button mashing

3. Characters interactions are pure gold and are the primary way of narrating the lore of the game. Characters races and backgrounds are well picked, It's fun watching the Witch hunter berate the Witch or to see the Elf doing the same to everyone else.

4. For those with a penchant for roguelike elements, Chaos wastes is an excellant game mode where you have to make do with whichever weapons and boons you happen to come across.

5. Fun with friends

6. Mods are fully supported

7. DLC maps are playable for everyone if the Host owns the DLC.

8. Devs listen to the community. It should be noted that the Devs added an exploit back to the game simply to reduce the grind for Red items
1. Save files are server tied despite the game using P2P connections. Game cannot be played online and will become unplayable when the servers are inevitably shut down.

2. May be too hard for your taste and boring when you play on easier difficulties

3. Lack of story may be offputting for some players although the dialogue more than makes up for it.

4. Bot levels are based on the levels of your characters. This may be a problem if you only play a single character and start playing on higher difficulties with Level 1 bots.

5. Cataclysm difficulty is locked behind a paywall (Winds of Magic DLC). In my opinion, its bad practice to lock non-content based gameplay behind paywalls. Winds of Magic DLC deservedly has a low rating on the marketplace. I bought it anyway since I enjoy the base game a lot and need to play it on the highest difficulty.

6. Game does a bad job at explaining its mechanics and providing important info in general. Each type of attack of any weapon has modifiers. For Example, L3(Light Attack 3) of Sword and Dagger has amazing Armour penetration but the game does not tell you so. Luckily, you can add a mod to gain access to such info within the game itself.

Characters Summary

Each class has certain type of weapons and careers (talent trees) to choose from, summarised hereunder: -

1. Elf (Kerrilian) - Glass cannon with mostly light weapons and good ranged capabilities. Choice between Ranged/Stealth/Support in Careers.
2. Knight (Kruber) - Horde clearing tank with access to both Light and Heavy weapons. Choice between Horde Clear/Ranged/Tank in Careers.
3. Dwarf (Bardin) - Access to both Light and Heavy weapons depending on career. Choice between Ranged/Super Tank/Berzerker in Careers
4. Witch (Sienna) - Glass cannon with mostly light weapons and amazing horde clearing capabilities. All of her careers are damage focused and only change her playstyle.
5. Witch Hunter (Saltzpyre) - Access to both Light and Heavy weapons depending on career. Choice between Support/Boss killing/Support + Damage in Careers

gg, 9/10, lacks a good narrative story at times but story is overall decent

Gameplay summary
1. Single shot death mechanic. Like a glass cannon, you'll have to keep on the move dodge every shot
2. Better for hardcore players who dont mind having to replay a fight 20 times to get past it
3. Movement is super fun with multiple possible routes in every map
4. Watch trailer for gameplay, what you see is what you get, not much to add in that regard

Pros
1. Unique movement based gameplay, It's good to be a robot ninja
2. Rogue-like elements make the game harder and therefore more satisfying to beat
3. Soundtrack and dialogue is on point

Cons
1. Lacks background lore for world building but that's merely a matter of personal preference for those that look for it. I would have preferred to know how life in the tower is/was along with other major events in the past

420/10, Best co-op horde shooter out there

Gameplay Summary

-> Mine stuff or play other objective based maps
-> Get lost in procedurally generated caves
-> Fight hordes of alien spiders and special enemies (imagine left for dead combined with minecraft)
-> Deal with environmental hazards
-> Play the weekly Deep dives (Long, challenging three-part missions with Two primary objectives and no secondary objectives in each part)
-> Completely change how weapons functions by equipping overclocks (Imagine scout using a shotgun to launch himself in the air, full TF2 Soldier vibes)

Class summary
Each class has certain type of weapons and grenades to choose from, a traversal(movement) tool and a utility tool, summarised hereunder: -

1. Scout- Precise Single Target assault; Grapple hook (go where you please) for traversal; Lights for utility
2. Engineer- Single and horde assault combined; Platform gun (Scouts one true love, helps getting minerals on high walls) for traversal; Turrets for utility
3. Gunner- Genocide level assault; Zipline for traversal; Shield sphere (Safely revive allies) for utility
4. Driller- Crowd/horde control, Choice between Fire [persisting AOE(Area of effect) DOT (Damage over time) damage] and Ice[freezing(Duh)] weapons; Mining Drill for traversal (dig tunnels) and C4 for utility

Pros
1. Dedicated Devs, free expansions have been released each season with a FREE BATTLEPASS
2. DLCs are PURELY COSMETIC
3. Friendly as ♥♥♥♥ community, Rock and Stone to all my lads out there.
4. Procedurally generated caves ensure a fresh experience for each mission
5. Each class offers an entirely new experience
6. BOSCO, the drone, assists you in singleplayer, making sure that singleplayer experience is just as good as that of multiplayer
7. Weapons overclocks change your experience entirely

Cons
1. Game will raise your standards to such an extent that you will never feel fully satisfied with other games

Rating: 6/10, steam really needs a rating system, this game doesn't really deserve the thumbs up I'm giving it

Not worth the price tag but a decent fallout title if you can get it for 5-10$ (including DLCs without which, the game feels incomplete). Certainly better than Fallout 76 tho.

Pros:
1) You can be a sarcastic jerk
2) Nick is a fine companion

Cons:
1) No karma system
2) Game forces you to build settlements to progress into the story
3) Overall quality: Poor voice acting, UI could have been better, tutorial could have been a lot better, story could have been a LOT better
4) Combat: Ammo consumption is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in the beginning, weapon balancing is questionable, VATS is meh, legendary weapon system is far too random to be useful (rngesus owns you, imagine getting a weapon that deals extra RAD damage to mutated enemies, who're immune to RAD damage. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ priceless)
5) Story: No memorable quests, Story is lackluster but not entirely bad, Far Harbor DLC should have been a part of the main game to make the main storyline whole. The writers were onto something but couldn't deliver what the fallout franchise deserved

Not much to say, get it if its on sale and you're into the fallout franchise.

Unforgettable game, No. 1 rogue-like... I can't praise this game enough. I only wish I could re-live my first playthrough.

Music is top notch, Prepare to fall in love with Eurydice's voice and bid good riddance (song name, check it the ♥♥♥♥ out) to your foes

This game is true perfection in its purest form. Gameplay, story, voice acting, dialogue. Everything is made with a chef's kiss and a cherry on top.

Good ♥♥♥♥ 10/10

Pros:
1) Yuuuuuge algorithmically generated universe. Oh and did I mention the PROCEDURALLY GENERATED WILDLIFE??? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing
2) Variety of features and things to do
3) Love the devs for continued improvement of the game. Watch "The Engoodening of No Man's Sky" on the Internet Historian's youtube channel to know more
4) Beautiful planets

Cons:
1) Not everyone's cup of tea, only purchase if you're into exploration, base building and farming
2) Can be buggy from time to time

Risk of Rain more like Risk of Pain

Overall Rating: 9.5/10
Gameplay: 10/10
Story: 9/10 -There's no campaign but the world setting and lore is great

Notable Features
1) Survival based Horde shooter like no other. Mobility and target prioritisation are key to winning. Like Hades, you start each run from scratch and dying ends your run, forcing you to start from scratch which makes finishing the game at a high difficulty extremely satisfying.
2) High difficulty, Would not recommend playing on normal difficulty for newbies
3) A variety characters and builds mean everyone can find their own play style

Pros:
1) You can a choose from large number of build combinations of builds
2) Multiplayer w friends is the bomb
2) Drizzle/Easy difficulty makes learning the game more fun
3) Modding compatibility

Cons:
1) The game does a bad job at explaining its mechanics.
2) Randomised item drops in normal mode are a ♥♥♥♥♥ to deal with. However, that can be changed by acquiring and equipping an "Artifact of command".
3) You have to install a mod if you want to test out characters/items. A practice tool would've been great for those of us that are too lazy to install mods

Metro Franchise Rating: 9.5/10
Metro Last Light Rating: 7/10

Notable features
  1. Linear maps like in Half Life (ie Not open world)
  2. Crafting and Resource limiting (Air filters and medical supplies are limited)
  3. Two "Modes"
  • Spartan: Go wild, shoot up everyone
  • Survival: Enhanced realism and scarcity of ammo and other resources

    Pros
    1. Interesting plot and setting (Post Nuclear-war Russian Metro)
    2. Atmosphere perfectly in line with horror games
    3. Moral options influence you to either be merciful to have a good ending or be a cold blooded killer for the bad ending
    4. Good quality immersion

    Cons
    1. For a redux version of the game, A lot of the bugs present in the original game have not been fixed including a gamebreaking bug on the "Bandits" level that doesn't let you quietly knock out people anymore, thereby making the good ending impossible to get without restarting your entire playthrough. I tried to fix on my own save file rather than having to download another one where the player had potentially made different moral choices but it wasn't possible without switching save files.

    2. Voice actors perform with a cheesy/fake russian accent although the voice acting itself is rather good

Brief Introduction to Respawn: The devs behind Titanfall 2 were previously working at Infinity Ward on COD4, during the good times of COD.

Selling Point: The Game boasts various mechanics involving wallrunning and titans. The maps are designed to have great synergy for agile movement throughout the map for players(pilots) aswell as allowing larger lanes for the Titans to operate in. Pilots have to practice guerrilla tactics and wallrunning from cover to cover, trying to get on top of enemy titans and steal their batteries to be transferred to an allied titan. Titans have abilities of their own but I am not going to get into that. Pilots also have the choice to have a single ability of their own like a grapple hook, speed boost etc allowing pilots even greater freedom of movement or offensive capacities.

Personal Notes: The campaign is well made, the levels bring something new to the table every single time but some of such level concepts are arguably stolen/inspired from other games. So not everything is going to be unique. However, I like the direction of quite a few cut scenes and I think the game has pulled off its immersion quite well.
On top of everything and despite being an EA Title, Titanfall 2 has been releasing FREE DLCs since its release. Additionally, Microtransactions are purely limited to cosmetic items, a policy everyone has been loving and endorsing lately.

Combat: With little to no recoil and inaccuracies, shooting is just point and click with no need for spray control, just like COD. However, unlike COD, Shooting your target is quite fun & challenging when they're constantly wall jumping and grappling away from you or when you're trying to kill someone while running from death yourself. Gameplay is fast paced in this way.

Graphics: 9/10
Gameplay: 10/10
Playtime: 7 Hours worth of single player, Unlimited fun on multiplayer

10/10 would play with Eurobeat tracks in the background like a speedy speed boi
