I've heard and seen Snowrunner, thought this one looked interesting.
Got the Demo and... Yeah I'm very conflicted about this.
The game looks nice, but the rest is very clunky.
Controls are absolutely unbearable, something a lot of people have already mentioned.
I guess I just don't have the patience for it all, even with some of its simplistic gameplay aspects.

Early Access Review
Easy to get into.
Make different shapes starting from squares, circles, and eventually expand into more complicated ones.
The tutorial is simple but detailed enough to help get you started even if you've never touched a factory game before.
The nice mix of background music is also very delightful, and even the UI is clean and well-organized.

There's no time limits, no resource limits, (Mostly, though if you manage to run out then you've probably played the game for at least ten thousand hours straight.)
Generally a very relaxing and fun game to play, with countless of possibilities on how you want to shape your ever growing factory in space.

Finally Dev(s) listen to feedback, and they've proven that with this game, as the community helped 'shape' this game.
Oh, and it runs very very well, they've optimized the engine incredibly well.

Portal RTX: A Glorified Tech Demo?

Portal RTX feels more like a showcase for RTX technology than a meaningful update to a beloved classic. After upgrading to an RTX 4080, I was able to run it smoothly, but the experience left me with mixed feelings.

The original Portal, released in 2007, is known for its minimalist graphics and gameplay design. While the RTX overhaul adds modern lighting effects and visual polish, the hardware requirements for such an old game feel excessive. It’s clear that either RTX technology still has a long way to go, or the implementation here lacks optimization. Yes, it looks better, but how much better? The improvements feel limited by the age and simplicity of the source material, and as a ‘mod,’ there’s only so much that can be done in terms of optimization.

That said, there are some highlights. The lighting effects are noticeably improved, portals have a more dynamic presence, and small touches, like energy pellets lighting up their path or the now ‘fancy’ buttons, add a layer of visual intrigue. But whether these changes are enough to justify the steep hardware demands is debatable.

For me, the most glaring issue is the trade-off between visual enhancements and accessibility. Modern GPUs like the RTX 4000 series are prohibitively expensive for most people, making this update inaccessible to the majority of players. It feels targeted at a niche audience of tech enthusiasts who enjoy exploring the cutting edge of graphics technology. For everyone else, the value is questionable.

Ultimately, I’d rather see a full remaster of Portal in Source 2 with the more detailed art direction of Portal 2. As it stands, Portal RTX offers a glimpse of what’s possible with ray tracing, but it falls short of being a must-play experience. While I’ll give it a positive rating because it works as intended and the visuals are appealing, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re particularly excited about RTX technology.

Perhaps as this technology improves and becomes more affordable, projects like this will have a broader appeal. Until then, Portal RTX is, at best, an interesting tech demo, and at worst, a reminder of the growing divide between cutting-edge graphics and accessibility.

Gas Station Simulator, a game where sitting still isn't really an option. Hope you enjoy repeated tasks and simple mini-games, because that's pretty much what you'll be doing.

Starting off with a worn down gas station, that needs cleaning, renovating, painting etc. To hiring employees to do all the work for you. Or well - most of the work, you can't truly automate your income here.

You need to keep track of stock, products, car parts, fuel. Earn enough money to buy new stock, as well as upgrades for your station.
There are events to keep you on your toes, like a nice young kid named Dennis who will annoy the heck out of you from time to time, ruin your freshly painted walls with graffiti, and you need to throw items at him, (Yeah don't ask), to make him leave. Not only that, but sandstorms can 'cause problems, as they bring piles of sand onto the road, which requires removing using an old excavator named Rudy.

I personally turned those features off in the options menu, which I'm glad you can, because they were just annoying to deal with, given everything else that needed to be done already.

Overall, I enjoyed this game from start to finish, but my ADHD brain helped with that, always needing to do something or another, preventing me from sitting still was rather therapeutic.

Wash car, check on store, are there still enough glasses and hats? Damn, almost sold out again, gotta buy new stock, wait, how about fuel? Alright fuel is good. Let me check the car parts in the workshop, Car wheel stand already empty??? Time to buy new ones as well. Employees need paid, fine, I'll do that in a minute. Hey John, can you handle the register real quick? Thanks, I gotta head to the warehouse to drop off the new supplies that just came in.

But that's all positive talk, but that doesn't mean this game is perfect, honestly, it's far from it. There are bugs, glitches, crashes that can absolutely ruin your experience. Certain aspects of the game are also rather awful. One of the biggest gripes I have, is that you can place shelves and decorations, anywhere in the store. However, the way you place said items is god awful. You can rotate them, but it's so scuffed that you'll never be able to place shelves snug against the wall, there's snapping for wall decorations and shelves, but anything on the floor, yeah no. AI also isn't great, both your employees as well as customer AI can be a pain to deal with, cars getting stuck, customers getting stuck, your employees not doing correctly what they're asked to do, or just stand there dumbfounded, forcing you to give them a task again, or move things out of the way so they stop walking into them. Thankfully it wasn't enough to stop me from playing, though again, it soured my experiences a bit.

In the end, I had fun, and might come back to start a new game, as I personally would give this game a 7.8 out of 10

If they can't count to three, then they can at least come up with a new name, just like Half-Life Alyx.
I would give anything for another Portal game.

While this is just a tech demo for the Steam Deck, the fact PC users with a PS4 controller, as well as other methods regarding controllers can play this, just means a lot.
While it's been well over a full decade since Portal 2 was released, playing this, and seeing the graphics, in the same Portal Universe, just fills me up with hope and joy.
Thank you J.K. Simmons, to voice Cave Johnson for one more, and most likely last time.

I'm a bit mixed about this game, but to me, it's just more Dying Light, though this time with a handful of bugs and glitches, of course. Oh and currently one mission marker that's completely broken, the marker being related to the quest called "Cheers!"

Story probably could've been better, choices only matter so much, but I can't tell how much would be different since I can't start a new game+.

Since I've played this game for quite the number of hours, I will lean towards the more positive side, because, well, I do enjoy the game, hopefully there's going to be more added in the future, especially with Techland supporting the game for at least the next 5 years, similar to what they did with DL1.

All I can say is this.
I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this kind of game.
It seemed complicated at first but, while completely RNG, it's oddly addictive and fun!

Childhood! I think apart from Mario Party, I've not seen this many mini-games inside of another game. Even if they run at like 20 FPS.
If we ever get another Thrillville, i'd instantly put it on my wishlist!
This game is extremely forgiving regarding management, income, etc, however building coasters is a bit limited, mainly due to the amount of power you can use. Of course, it's nowhere as close to Planet Coaster, or even the Roller coaster Tycoon games. If you've never played this game before, but you've got experience with Planet Coaster, I'm not sure if you'll enjoy this one. I'd still give it a try, mainly just for the mini-games.

Just consider using a (xbox) controller. Especially if using multiple monitors

So, about this game:
- It's a mess, blood everywhere, so go grab your mop and clean it!
- Invite a friend, and scream at them for spilling a bucket for the 20th time.
- Scream at yourself for spilling a bucket for the 20th time.
- Enjoy the physics that will most likely drive you mad overtime.
- Spend about 20 minutes wondering if you have missed a spot or not.
- CLOCK OUT after 3 hours, and notice that you only have a 90% success score.
- Do a quick search and realize that you should've scanned the nametags as well.
- go mad and do it all again, because for some reason it's still fun as hell!

Also, respect to the developer who's trying to re-write this game in UNREAL ENGINE 4
