Genuinely solid combat, better than most (if not all) VR melee combat games. Problem is, they turned this game into a walking simulator. You run super slow, and your walking speed is a crawl. This wouldn't be too bad if it was pre-1.0, actually it wasn't an issue at all, but they opted for an open world where you walk 8 years to find a dungeon entrance. Granted, there are checkpoints in and out of dungeons, but they don't totally relieve this pain, they just make it last a little less. The two dungeons I played through were terrible to walk through between fights (and deaths) because of the sloth speed.

This game used to be an amazing dungeon crawler in 1.0. You didn't have to fiddle around with any sort of silly crafting mechanics, or collect various fast travel points, walk a thousand miles before you reach your intended place of travel, deal with nasty bugs, etc. All you would do is walk through those dungeon doors in the village and descend into an epic dungeon. Granted, the dungeon got stale after awhile since there wasn't much variety in how the dungeon was constructed, but this was something that could change. There were only a few enemy types (there still isn't much variety). The point is, the game had a promising future. Now it is a mess of bugs and terrible gameplay, filled with lots of walking.

I am truly sorry if you were never able to experience pre-1.0. They butchered this game and raised the price on you.

Wow... what a stunning game, beaming with potential!

Me and my son played this beautiful game and we had a blast! We battled rats, carried boxes inside, and served customers wonderful reviews. We both enjoyed the time we played together so much. My favorite moment is when we launched a game and my son had the hot dog shoes equipped. Hilarious!

What a great and comedical game. We both hope that this game continues receiving updates and maybe the next time we will play, we will try out the DLC. Thanks for this wonderful masterpiece, Duhndal.

Bromance

Laughable multiplayer. Not even playable just one bit. Item desync is real, some players cant see SCPs where the others can. Dying out of nowhere due to not seeing the SCP (but alas your teammates do). This isn't even a beta experience, this is a very experimental version of multiplayer. Crashed my VR headset twice loading into a multiplayer lobby as well. There is no way the developers tested their multiplayer and thought to publish it as a beta.

The singleplayer is probably fine, but I didn't bother with it. I doubt its bad, its just that I experienced the jankiness of multiplayer, where desync was the biggest killer.

Edit: Review changed to positive, most of the bugs I speak about in this review have been remedied. There are some weird item bugs where some players can't see it and some can, however it was nothing game breaking.

This game is good. Wish the turning controls and locomotion in general was better, but with friends this is an amazing game.
