A modern S.T.A.L.K.E.R everything is as difficult as the original, you will die and that is part of the learning experience. I have around 100 - 200 hours across the original games. This one has combined all the best elements and improves the look tenfold, albeit with a few performance hitches. If you are wanting a gruelling survival experience where you will tip toe on the verge of death, get S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 make sure to explore and take things slow rushing will get you killed.

Once most of the performance issues get resolved this will be the definitive way to play, at the moment its on par with OG Stalker with mods.

Very addictive, constantly wanting to improve my score until i'm on top of the leaderboards. Plenty of game to play barely scraped what is already present. Look forward to the future game modes.

I've seen this game at its worse on PS4 when you could buy it for £1. To see what its become now and everything it offers in comparison its amazing

They keep improving the AI and its even better than old SWAT. Suspects now slowly place the weapon down in some instances meaning you need to keep and eye on you, the ambushing capabilities have increased with the harder levels. Come back to this to finish off my perma death run and safe to say it deserves another playthrough.

Ever since they have had changes to the AI this game has got drastically better. The AI no longer feels overturned its feels exactly where it needs to be difficult but manageable. I have yet to try Hostage Rescue with the new AI system but overall civvies become compliant quicker and very rarely resist arrest, in situations where they do, melee attacking sits their ass back down. This is becoming a really promising game and feels at home with an old school swat player, plus the coffee machine works in HQ

I have a good 100+ hours in SWAT 4 alone and this feels like a spiritual successor. The game isn't easy and that's what makes it good, if you engage wrong you can die in a few seconds. You need coordination either with your AI or teammates in COOP.

I only have one niggling problem, the AI for both enemies and bot teammates feels too over tuned especially on the harder scenarios like Hostage Rescue, I can crouch and walk yet the enemy AI will detect me through the wall and spray through it, in Hostage Rescue this alerts the other AI and they instantly kill the hostages so you can only get like E rating at best. Its frustrating when you have walked the entire map and silently took down other enemies. Yet one AI can wall hack.

Quick note on the Civvie AI sometimes they feel too hard to get compliant. They wouldn't run away into multiple rooms away from a Swat team that are there to help them. I don't mind civvies not surrendering and you have to hit or spray them with pepper but they literally run into the arms of their hostage takers way way too often

A few tweaks here and there to the AI and this can be a perfectly modern version of the old SWAT games
