For the most part its just more Subnautica, which is good.
Personally i felt this second instalment was generally easier and less unnerving than some of the scary moments in the first one.
This game was an opportunity to have some new oceanic features like frozen brine fingers which were cool to see and introduce some new creatures even if they cant measure up to the sea dragon.
The new vehicle had a decent concept, the sea truck is a customisable modular unit but comparatively i missed items like the Sea-moth and Cyclops.
Story wise had some good moments like finding the other (badass) survivor, and your hitchhiker pal is likeable but again they somehow fall just a leg behind the elements in the first game.

I will say the ending and cinematics for this game were really cool. It was nice to have an explanation and closure to the technologies found in the first game.

If Subnautica was an 8/10, Below Zero is a 7/10. Either way play both if you like the general theme of the game you wont lose anything.

The last time i felt this kind of engagement from a game was probably Half Life... back when it initially came out.
Over the years there have been many many many first person shooters all with their own niche but most focus too much on a particular aspect and even more fall afoul.

The missing ingredient - keep it simple.

The GZDoom engine gave Zan everything he needed to create an immersive world, great story line, characters you give a ♥♥♥♥ about, platforming, puzzles and of course the hardcore brutal gore at the hands of big mommy orc barbarian.
The first person shooter aspect is a fraction of the game considering you can perform alchemy, base building side quests, stealth sections, wave clear gauntlets and and you can even pet the warg.
The hand drawn art for all the character sprites and the amount of written dialogue really brings the feel of this world to life. I found my self unable to betray or sacrifice any of my sisters just because i enjoyed speaking to them.

It all comes together to a produce fantastic game that rivals the originals imo. I can see how much passion went into this game and thank the creator for the experience.

This is a beautifully polished card game with intricate details. All the way down to elements like, the combinations of charms to effect your card skills, building your team around a common theme and making the best use of the turn order BUT its all pointless because

THIS GAME IS NOT FUN.

Your strategy doesn't matter, it doesn't matter what your build is nor how often you try because the game is consistently stacked against you. This massive IMBALANCE means you will lose a lot and its not fun. Its not fun to put an hour into your build only to have the enemy before an end boss immediately take out 6 new creatures each with 40 health and smack back against an auto attack build. Its not fun that every enemy has more attack and health than you. Its not fun that the scaling doesn't take your own build into effect either.

"its a rogue lite bro, its the RNG bro" ♥♥♥♥ off. There is a reason Slay the Spire still sits at most card players top list and its because there are learnable mechanics you can plan your team around and find success in how you play your cards not what your up against.

If you want this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to work but also want to add the ability to allow players to feel comfort against the 'RNG', just add one system - upgrades. Allow players to increase the health and attack of cards, augment their champion so they actually feel like the centre of the build and add effects like frenzy to favourite cards.
Take out the grind by letting people win.

When i lose, i want it to be because i made a mistake, not because i never had a chance in the first place. In that case, whats the point of playing?

Good way of experiencing the jist of the Berserk story and get to play as some of the iconic characters.
Players experiencing this story need to know lots of scenes in this game have been modified to meet a musou requirement and lots of parts have been cut out due to graphical nature.
If you want THE BEST version to experience Berserk - read the manga

The only thing this cult is missing is the orgies.
Other than that its a really fun action roguelite / base management game.

Typical predatory gacha game brought to you by Nutaku.
Minimalist team strategy while all avenues push you towards spending money.
The one cg i did unlock for finishing the first level was decently drawn but not enough to make me want to continue and the amount of grinding or spending needed to get any of your party to decent levels is not worth the time.

I couldnt find a CGI pack online so it means no one has bothered with this slog to grab and post them. If anyone know how to hack the server time update system the games uses to bypass cheat engine, please let me know.

After giving this extended time into high rank, I have run into so many annoying aspects that i don't care to continue playing.
Input lag, hitbox issues, poor control scheme, low quality environments, consistent easy mode, drawn out grinding and boring design.
I really wanted this to fill a void after finishing World/Icebourne but instead RIse is a major downgrade and a disappointment.
So much so that i am re-installing World until the next sequel announcement hopefully q2/q3 of 2023.
The standard is World/Icebourne Capcom. We know you can do better for gamers than just looping in the modern switch crowd.

I don't need to say much about this game that hasn't already been raved about in many many other reviews.
Fantastic world building, great story, very immersive and fun combat. A shining example of a AAA game.
