100% dead game. Can't even log into a proper map to run around by oneself.

Apparently, back in the day, the official server admins were incredibly toxic: harassing; killing; and banning players simply for playing the game. What a way to kill one's own game.

Simple, cute, social, can be played on a laptop and with just a touchpad, multiple minigames, and highly addictive.

The tutorial is very good, giving information through dialogues and actions and only when relevant, instead of a massive info dump at the start. The menus are also simple, straightforward, and not too many. These two things combined make it very easy to get into and understand what's going on. The rest is pretty chill. So far, I've only encountered one minigame that is timed. The others only have turn limits, not time limits.

There are not enough games out there that let you play as a vampire. This is one of them, and while there isn't a focus on blood drinking, there is a big focus on letting you build your very own Castlevania castle, and a whole host of vampire powers you can unlock and play with.

Vampires aside, it's overall a solid game with solid progression and a distinctive style, great humour in game and from the devs, and lots of settings for tweaking the difficulty level.

8/10

DCUO is a good bit of fun, particularly in short bursts. It is, unfortunately heavily monetised and somewhat pay-to-win. But if one doesn't care about endgame raiding and just wants to fly around Metropolis/Gotham and flaunt superpowers, it's great.

Cons:
- I dislike the monetisation model.
- In game prices are high and time gates are long, purely to get you to spend real money on the game.

Pros:
+ Building the various songs one "instrument" (monster) at a time is fascinating.
+ The ability to mute/unmute any monster of your choosing is a great detail that adds to the previous point.
+ The two previous points mean that, even though each island has its specific song, you can customise it quite a bit.
+ Composer Island lets you compose your own original songs using the various "instruments"/monsters.
+ Even in early game, the music makes for good background music while working on other projects. Could probably even use it as sleep music, if that's your thing.

A surprisingly smooth Elder Scrolls game that's also an MMO. My one big complaint is how expensive and predatory the cash shop is. Overall 9/10

It's cute, it's fun, and it's free. What's not to love?
Five stars.

Animal Jam is very much an "MMO for kids". My first clue was having to sign up as my own parent to allow me to play. xD In game chat is restricted and the gameplay consists of running around as an animal or playing minigames, either alone or with others. It also offers animal, plant, and eco trivia, both in loading screens and as discoverables.

If you like running around as a horned, winged tiger with two tails and sunglasses, or if you like having a collection of minigames in a single app, this game delivers and is available on mobile, as well.

Pros:
- Cute animals.
- Player housing.
- A fair bit of freedom with animal clothing options and housing decorations.
- Seasonal events.

Cons:
- Freemium (Restrictive free to play, monthly subscription option.)
- Microtransact currency (required for all the shiniest things.)
- Artificial scarcity/exclusivity.
- Somewhat unstable, but quick to restart.
