Select and Start is the name of our gaming community!

I run and maintain, moderate, configure, and develop for Select and Start's community GoldSrc, Source, other gameservers, and build/maintain the website.

Chaoticly does backend work on the server, manages the sales system, and more.

Please comment your reason of adding me in my comments. Tell me how you met me and/or what you're adding me for.

Do not add me if you were banned from a server of ours, are VAC banned (unless I approve of otherwise), or are a scammer/phisher.

Due to the high number of spam bots that add me on a regular basis, I will not accept friend requests if:

1. Your profile is private.
Exception(s): If we've played a a game on a server together recently.

2. You have not left a comment on my profile.
Exception(s): We've played on a server together recently.

3. We have not recently played a game.
Exceptions: If you're a Select and Start community member, and have questions, or need help with something regarding the community.

4. You have been involved in a trade scam of any kind. No exceptions.

5. You are level 0.
Exception(s): If we've played on a server together recently, or if you're a Select and Start community member, and have questions, or need help with something regarding the community.

6. You have a VAC ban, or any other ban on Steam, such as a Game Ban, or Trade Ban.
Exception(s): We played a game together and the VAC ban is due to a false positive.

7. No, I do not want to promote your gambling site or other sketchy site. Stop asking.

8. If you're trying to impersonate someone I know, a famous person, or public figure. These will be reported to Steam immediately.

9. I don't need to be in more groups. Thanks, but no thanks!


If I haven't played in a game with you recently, and we haven't discussed trading prior to you adding me, no I will not accept.

- My comment box is NOT a place to place your application, ban appeal, or player/admin reporting, we have a Discord where you can apply for staff, and a ban system to submit/appeal a ban.

- For any business deals (wanting to merge, requesting sponsorship, major server issues, etc.) can be emailed at contact@selectandstart.com.
