It reminds me of why I fell in love with Gauntlet Legends as a kid, or why I pirated Diablo 2 (along with Halo CE and CS 1.6, of course) and kept it on my trusty flash drive to bring to LAN parties. It's good. Still early on but my hands already hurt and I can 100% see why people get sucked into this rabbit hole.

Granted I’m only 2 days into this game, but I like it a lot. It’s got a decent grind to it with gameplay loops of looting and fetch quests (which I’ll be honest is just busywork), but I’m enjoying it.

I think there is a story, but let’s be real it’s STALKER X Fortress Craft and I’m just here to turn my brain off and play

As you progress, your guns and armor get better, and enemies that used to be terrifying are much more manageable. You have to make sure you pay attention to your weapon durability (below 80% is when it starts to negatively effect your stuff), and if I have less than 1500 bullets when I leave I know I’m in trouble.

The monetization of the game feels a little overwhelming if you’re susceptible to those rabbit holes, but I haven’t felt the NEED to buy anything. I bought premium because I want to support the devs.

Overall, if you like Stalker and are looking for a fun timewasting MMOFPS that you don’t care about paying attention to the story? Try it out. I can see this being my new go to time waster in between Factorio and OSRS
