This coming July will mark my 10th year playing this game, and let me tell you first and foremost:
All these reviews calling it the "perfect RPG", their "Desert Island game", saying that Qud is "as wide as an ocean and far deeper"

They're all wrong. It's all of these things and more. Qud may be a candidate for one of most finely tuned and well polished games that has ever seen release. It is an alien world, a brutal slog, an extremely funny scenario creator, both forgiving and brutal if you tune it right, expansive in ways I didn't know a simple game could achieve.

But most of all, it's a love letter to the genre. A world to explore that you have never and will never see the likes of anywhere else.
