90% of the people leaving negative reviews wouldn't have done so if they didn't try to rush through the game and realize that Scadutree fragments is a new mechanic that makes your character significantly stronger and adapted in the DLC region.

Yes you may have 60 vigor and a great armor set but Scadutree fragments are being greatly overlooked and sadly tainting the review scores by people that can't be bothered to learn the new mechanics.

Gates of Hell is what all kids who sat on the floor, playing with toy soldiers imagined.

Disclaimer:
I definitely recommend Gates of Hell but this is worth mentioning. Barbed Wire Studios in-house engine is extremely complex but can also result in less than desirable frame rate at times when a lot is happening on screen. In particle intensive areas and/or in big towns I often drop down to 50-40fps on my RTX 3080. AI is also very questionable at times and seem to disobey commands you give out pretty often which often leads to some of your men dying.

Elden Ring is in a tier of it's own alongside masterpieces like Red Dead Redemption 2, The Last of Us 1 and The Witcher 3.

The quality and care that went into the level design, art style and animations is so good that it puts other games to shame. Elden Ring is like a 5 star Michelin restaurant meal where you want to savor every bite.

It's a game that solidifies that video games are indeed art.

Good "chill and listen to a podcast" game

+ The UI is very stylized and well put together. Especially the menus

- face models vary from okay to PS3 era quality

The Long Dark makes me appreciate society more. It makes me think of my everyday life in a new way and I notice myself consider things in my surroundings differently.

It's both relaxing and stressful depending on what you are doing but you always feel a sense of clear progression. I'm on day 58 of my first ever Survival run on Voyager. I first played the game back in 2015/2016 but only for about 5 hours. But as of writing this I have racked up almost 40 hours of playtime in the last 2 weeks!

I recommend starting out on "Voyager" difficulty and learning the maps before trying out Stalker or Interloper. The game world is larger than Skyrim and the map is covered in a "fog of war". Getting lost and running out of supplies is one of the easiest ways of getting yourself killed. Check out tips on YouTube or forums and you will quickly notice that The Long Dark has a very friendly and helping community.

Love it.

If you like open world games, mixed martial arts and Jackie Chan movies, there just isn't a better game for you

You have to sell a bit of your soul to get the most out of War Thunder but once you get over that hill it's a blast.
