Lone Survivor may seem like a typical horror game, but it's far from it. Drawing inspiration from classics like Silent Hill 2, it immerses you in the mind of a nameless protagonist struggling with loneliness. The game's mysterious story keeps you questioning reality.

While there are numerous optional quests, you'll likely miss most of them on your first playthrough. Lone Survivor's challenge lies in scarce resources, forcing you to carefully manage bullets and batteries to progress.

The game's atmosphere, bolstered by a haunting soundtrack and pixel art, is among the best I've ever experienced. Not a single jumpscare, but the horror is authentic and potent.

You must monitor the protagonist's sanity and hunger, affecting the game's multiple endings. There's no good or bad ending; it's about your choices and observations.

In summary, Lone Survivor is a masterfully crafted homage to classic survival horror. If you enjoy horror games or stories that delve into the surreal, this is a must play.

Edit October 2023: Didn't like the old review.
Note: If you have played this version of the game do not buy the new version. it's practically the same game.
