So far it seems very good but like it's going to become both very tough and difficult to manage quickly. The loop is you beat enemies in a stage to turn them into books, which you either burn to unlock new cards for your decks or consume to attempt harder stages. You can also do special battles against otherworldly horrors in puzzle-like battles to increase the effectiveness of each of your squads via unlocking additional characters for it. Each character has their own deck of cards (I think it's like 9-10) so it appears to want you to build parties with synergy in mind.

I think there's a huge amount of meat on it but I can see getting overwhelmed by the sheer number of options presented. If you like deck builders give it a shot; I got it as part of the current humble bundle.

How's the Library if Ruina? It looks weirdly interesting to me, but I don't think I understand what it's about at all.

Well now I know you're lying. How can you do that to me?

Don't know how I did it, but I finally had a KoL Crimbo where I got everything on offer.

I think that it succeeds a lot more than it fails. A lot of love and attention clearly went into a lot of aspects of it: the cutscenes and the sprite work are all really solid. The pacing of the story could be better so far, but it's not coming from a AAA studio, so that is what it is. Actual gameplay is great, though: the way it handles ability and item use makes you have to think about how to best set up your actions during combat, which is great when compared to mashing A to attack for a lot of RPGs.

How are you finding Cosmic Star Heroine? I'd been considering getting it on my Vita for ages now, but I'm not sure if I can JRPGs anymore (not for a lack of trying, but for a lack of time and patience).
