Space Marine 2 is finally here and man was that wait worth it! It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing and probably not just the best 40k game on the market but also the best 40k game ever (for me personally). It's a simple buddy cop story, where you play as Titus, the main character from the last game, returning the the Ultramarines and fight the Tyrranids with his new squad.

Pros:
+ The Story. Simple and bad-ass with even more bad-ass moments.

+ Coop Campaign. A nice addition for you and your friends to play through the main story.

+ Coop Operations. Great coop missions separate from the main story but still connected.

+ PvP Multiplayer. Surprisingly fun and somewhat balanced. A big surprise and in a good way.

+ Space Marine customisation is great but it could be better and by the looks of it, they will be adding more stuff to it.


Cons:
- Only 3 PvP maps at launch. It's a good thing that those three maps are actually good.

- No customisation for the Chaos Marines. Kind of sucks. Hopefully that get's fixed in the future.

Truly a game of a lifetime. They gave us a real life Major Order too and we beat that in 48 hours.

I saw the creator of this game being somewhat active on r/Titanfall and seeing his posts about the game made me want to buy it and oooh boy, does it slap or what?! If you're a fan of the movement of Titanfall and Doom Eternal then you will love this game. I love the references that this game has and the obvious inspiration for some of the weapons and upgrades the game has and you can tell that it was made with love for first person shooter games.

So far the game has only one boss. I don't know if the developer has any plans on adding more bosses but the boss that is in the game can be a hit or miss. My first encounter with him I though the game glitched because I didn't see him anywhere but turns out he teleport to you when you stand still or slow down and it took me by surprise. After the surprise I simply shot him with my double barrel shotgun and easily beat him. I haven't tested the higher difficulty versions but for now I feel he's fine.

For Titanfall fans, the game has a gauntlet if you want to test your speed and timing. Not for me but I know there are some gauntlet speedrunners out there that would like it a lot.

For Doom fans, there's a double barrel shotgun.
...oh and it can become a quad barrel shotgun too. I love it.

Want a scary game but also want to have the power to fight back? Then this game is a must have! On it's own, it's a great game that will keep you on your toes. Might be one of the best games I've ever played and I'm a guy who's stayed away from horror games my entire life but this one had my interest and I don't regret buying it and so should you!

Update: July 6 2024. The game is in a way better state. There's a lot of missions and maps now. New weapons too, but not that many new. I do recommend the game now though.

October 6 2023. Fatshark finally does a complete class overhaul/rework on October 4 but they still manage to ♥♥♥♥ things up. First, they add a new cosmetic set for each class for 2,900 aquilla, raising it from the standard 2,500 AND they now give away 9400 aquilla for NEW PEOPLE who just bought the game. While people like me bought the deluxe edition on day 1 get a helmet of shame and only 2,500 aquilla. New people who buy it get more than 12,000 aquilla from the Deluxe Edition. All that hard work they put into the cclass rework for only to ♥♥♥♥ out this much crap as well.

Dec. 2022. I love Warhammer 40k and it's universe. Darktide has the vibe of 40k and the great gameplay of Vermintide, yet the game is struggling with game crashes and disconnects, too little maps and a horrible microtransaction store. I would not recommend this game at this state. Check back maybe hopefully in a couple months or years.

The skins are great, but it's more important to support these great devs. ROCK AND STONE!

Just keep it on Steam.

As a Darksiders fan I'm happy with this game and if you're a Darksiders fan you'll enjoy this aswell, rvrn though the game plays diffretnt the other games. I'm just happy that we got a third game in the series. Now I just hope we can get a fourth game with Strife.

Great game with or without friends, great developers and even a greater future for this game.
